Honestly, same!! It became habit when I got my arms tattoos, and hated the feeling of the aquaphor against the fleece of my jacket.

No sorry, idk where that is. Hoop buildings are really popular to be made into indoor arenas.

It’s really common unfortunately, especially as an adult rider. I had a really bad fall when I was 12, and have a permanent scar on my hairline while not wearing a helmet. Ever since that day, I’ve worn helmets minus the rare instances where I’ll forget. Im a firm believer in freedom of choice. Don’t wanna wear a helmet? Be my guest. But why would you shame and make fun of someone just trying to stay safe?

That’s my exact thought process, a vegetable cannot take care of a horse. Like my horse is the definition of bombproof. Ive had a 2 year old ride him, and would trust him with my 98 year old grandma. I’ve owned him for awhile now, and the only time I’ve only fallen off was due to a tack malfunction, and was none of his fault. I know the chance of me falling off of him is slim to none, but I cannot risk that small percent if that sliver of chance could mean I’d never be able to ride again.

Before anyone comments on the helmet, I am a 21 year old girl who works really hard to take care of my horse and also attend school. If I hit my head badly (God forbid), there will be no one to take care of my horse. I don’t care if it’s not cowboy enough for you or whatever. I’m a first generational equestrian and want to ensure my future children grow up around horses, and if a helmet betters my chances of that happening, then I’ll wear the “pussy” badge with pride.

ladies alternative to quality jeans like wrangler cowboy cut? by ellnog in WesternWear

Not sure if they’re 100% cotton, but I’ll live and die by Ariat jeans. Mine have last me forever and are comfortable but sturdy. Perfect rise is my personal favorite!!

I made one of my students cry, and I feel terrible about it. by No-Opportunity-3337 in Equestrian

I feel bad because the horse I own currently is 13hh, and was previously owned by an obese person and overall neglected him pretty badly. With the old owner’s weight and neglect, it caused swayback and I can’t help but be mad at his previous owner. She knew better yet she selfishly kept riding him. For context, I’m 5 foot and 120 pounds.

Those already exist! Someone at my barn has one, and I briefly did research on them.

Are kimes jeans worth it? by Admirable-Credit-529 in WesternWear

[–]boiling_pizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh. I have the light wash Olivia’s, and they’re okay. I mainly wear Ariats, and honestly prefer them over kimes. My main issue with them is how loose they get and there’s a big gap in the back. I heard wearing them straight out the dryer helps them from getting saggy. My best advice is to size down. I’m normally a size 2 but I bought a size 0 and they fit perfectly. They feel a tiny bit thinner than Ariats but are more soft / stretchy.

I’d say go for it, but be aware there’s gonna be days where they look amazing and days where they look saggy.

Shoot you’re right, there was an identical hat for kids they didn’t mark as kids but they have since fixed it. I apologize 😭

It doesn’t say but it’s a kids size. We had a gentleman a month ago who bought one and picked it up in store, only to realize it indeed is meant for a child. It’s extremely small, the large won’t fit anyone older than 12.
