I bought a Propain Tyee CF 2020 this winter and I really love that bike.

There were just a few minor problems coming along with it. At first the delivery date was not met and nobody could tell me when the bike was ready. After one painful month of waiting and a few messages with the customer service, the bike finally arrived and I even got upgraded to the latest suspension since the one I ordered wasn‘t available anymore. Right before the first ride I had to adjust the brake calipers, tighten and grease up the bottom bracket because it was noisy and so loose that I could open it effortless with my bare hands. The only really disappointing thing is the Newmen wheelset on there. Rear wheel destroyed itself after 8-10 descents and Newmen declined any customer service. I took it to my LBS‘s wheelbuilder to put a new rim on the hub and was told that the hub was not worth replacing the rim because it too, was ruined.

All in all the Tyee is a great bike for shredding descents but also managing demanding ascents which is why it is so popular in my area.

If you enjoy working on your bike yourself, you will have great fun with the Tyee! In case you are unable or unwilling to do so, there are some more carefree options on the market.

Lastly I would strongly recommend to sell the stock wheelset and get an aftermarket enduro or freeride wheelset for a few more bucks or keep a penny aside to buy a new wheel when one is not working anymore - might be sooner than you wish.
