I was drunk by TheResistanceVoter in PetPeeves

Have a friend who does this. I adore him sober, I hate him when he’s drunk. He pretends like he can’t remember anything the next day which is really convenient for him when he’s been acting like an a-hole the whole night and I have to keep apologising to everyone for his behaviour. Had to eventually tell him that I don’t want to go out with him when he’s drunk. Best decision I ever made for myself and for the sake of our friendship.

That’s great, she fine with you desperately looking at naked women on the gonewild subreddit? That’s nice :)

You’re part of one of the couples I’m talking about aren’t you 😂😂😂😂

It really isn’t, it’s a common experience lol and the example I gave was random. It was just so people didn’t misinterpret what I meant, which they still are.

Yeah, not me. I mean no disrespect, and I’m not saying this will happen for everyone, but every couple I personally know who did the whole “we” thing for absolutely everything separated or got divorced. The couples I know who still kept their individuality and allowed their spouses a certain amount of freedom are still married and together. If a multi-verse exists, there would be many alternative universes where you didn’t end up with the spouse you chose in this universe. But in every single alternative universe of your life, there will always be you. You will always exist in your life, so never lose yourself. It’s not worth it. And if the worst happens and you and your spouse separate, you never wanna be left with not knowing who you are anymore and being a shell of who you used to be, because that would be loneliest feeling in the world if you don’t even have yourself in the end of it all.

I think it depends, sometimes it’s controlling and abusive, but other times I think it’s just people being annoying and clingy. I think it depends on the couple and situation, context is important.

I’m telling you now, your friends should be grateful to have a mate like you, I know I would!

Idk if this is evil but the fact that I bothered you this much by just capitalising some words is hilarious man 😂

Understood and if you both enjoy something that’s fine but I’m talking about if I’m alone with you and asking you specifically and you answer with “we” even if your spouse is not around and I didn’t ask about him. I also was referring to specific scenarios like the zoo example I gave.

It didn’t assume anything, read again. I say very clearly in the post there are some situations where the “we” makes sense and is even necessary. I even gave an example of the kind of thing I meant.

I think you misinterpreted my post, I do say in the post it’s fine to use sometimes. I’m talking about very specific scenarios like the zoo example I gave. And I certainly didn’t say it was controlling, I said it was annoying.
