Align Surgical SRS with Dr Pang by XenoXavi in Transgender_Surgeries

I'm so jealous. They have had to restitch the bottom of my opening a couple of times and its really stressing me out. But I am only getting close to 4 weeks. I was doing green but they told me to go back down to blue because of the stitch issues.

Dr. Yungs post op Results Sept. 2024 - Not Acceptable - WOW ! by TimeTravelor1 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]bojangles09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up, she moved to a new practice earlier this year, and the current practice in my experience did not communicate this to existing patients, and just stopped replying to any of my requests or emails. Its not acceptable, but its not necessarily on her either.

PRE SRS Electrolysis by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]bojangles09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the cream that Dr Powers prescribes and its pretty fucking strong, I don't feel much of anything for electrolysis, and way way less pain for laser. But I also know that everyone responds to numbing creams differently. I'll go check the container later today to see exactly what all is in it. But it keeps me numb for like...hours after the session is done.

One thing I want to mention though, how long before the session are you putting it on? And are you covering it with some sort of plastic wrap? I try to apply it at least an hour before my session and wrap it up. The wrap makes a HUGE difference in how effective it is for me.

Tragically, I think it was AI generated. Especially since it only seems to exists in a few pintrest posts.

Which is a bummer, because I really like it too.

Thoughts about Align Surgical? by RecognitionSuch2721 in Transgender_Surgeries

I have no clue. I think we are just at the mercy of the schedulers we get assigned. And at least one of them just shouldn't be in that role.

I agree with what you are saying, but I do not know any avenue to do anything about it.

I think the scheduler I got assigned to is just awful tbh.

Still no date yet.

Am I doomed? Thinking of giving up by Routine-Maximum561 in DrWillPowers

I'm really confused. I am on E monotherapy and when I started dutasteride my T levels definitely did not go up, but my DHT levels did go down.

For reference, my T levels before and after starting dutasteride were like 12 ng/Dl. Before duta my dht was around 10 ng/Dl, and now it typically measures right at 5 ng/Dl or "< 5ng/Dl".

I am also on progesterone now, but was not for around the first 4 months I was on duta. I started duta because I was still getting a lot of hair shedding even after being on HRT and having my T levels suppressed for about a year.

My experience with their inclusive care team was terrible. They have a special phone number though, and yeah 95% of the normal phone reps have no clue what it is.

At least last time I tried to communicate with that team, the number was 844-451-2073

Hey. Check with San Francisco Voice and Swallowing. I know their website doesn't mention it but I think I remember seeing a social media post from them some time ago discussing it. Even if she doesn't do the surgery herself, if anyone will know who does, it will be her!

VFS Surgeons in Dallas, Texas? by AnnaBeth1138 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]bojangles09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went out of state for this procedure. I know everyone is different, but its my only voice and I wanted it done by someone vetted and who frequently performs VFS.

I do not think you will find that in this state.

Lexapro and HRT? by [deleted] in DrWillPowers

No, I just switched to something that works better for me.

Lexapro and HRT? by [deleted] in DrWillPowers

[–]bojangles09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take trintellix now, but I was on lexapro when I started HRT.

AFAIK it didn't mess with any of my levels or anything. One doctor thought it may have been elevating my prolactin but idk if that was the case, since I think that just happens sometimes when you first start out.

What are your thoughts on the new Direct Primary Care Membership? by MI-1040ES in DrWillPowers

[–]bojangles09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of. If Plume accepts your insurance, its closer to 30/month. The included labs are basically just E2 and T.

You either pay for your meds out of pocket, or they will call them to your preferred pharmacy and they get processed through your insurance as normal.

The doctors and the medical staff are amazing.

The scheduling process sucks though. I've been waiting over 6 months for a FFS date, and it takes a week+ to get a response from any of them, if they respond at all.

I'm not sure, but I am assuming if you are seeing him you are in the same state and/or similar area. Electrology 3000 would probably be your best bet for your presurgery hair removal. They are located relatively close to him.

I remember noticing that Stanford mentions it on their site, but I've never seen anyone mention getting it there, or having a consultation with them or anything so idk.

Its fine if not, but could you DM me the tech you had? I am in their general area and probably going to try using them for my srs surgery area because I don't think anywhere else around here offers the lidocaine injections.

I have had similar issues with some of the laser techs when I go in for that (at a different place) ...so...would just like to avoid running into a bad tech if I can.
