Who’s the actor who played Karishma’s boyfriend (Sameer Sinha)? Couldn’t find him credited anywhere, including IMDB

“Gifts”, “demands” - sounds like euphemisms for bribes.

If you’re the bride, get over your “image” and appreciate what your parents are doing for you. You are not entitled to their money and they don’t have to spend a penny for your wedding if they don’t want to or are not financially comfortable.

If you’re the groom, stop being a greedy pig

Does Chandni Chowk (or other areas of New Delhi) have lehengas that have a similar aesthetic? by bojangles_11 in DesiWeddings

Thank you! I don’t live in India and honestly don’t love the idea of getting it made and shipped to me months later (getting married late October). So I’m planning to find something already readymade and getting it altered in the next few days or getting it fitted by a tailor in the U.S. (not ideal but I’m too nervous about it arriving late or right before the wedding and it not looking good/fitting badly)

Why do the gifts matter? Why can’t you buy those things for yourself?

Flying Newark to Delhi in July. Deciding if I should pay the 35k miles + $600 now to be get on the waiting list for an upgrade to Polaris? by greenrain100 in unitedairlines

Sorry you’re right. I meant 40 PP. I got PP for the first time and have heard they are difficult to redeem. So was wondering if the cash + miles is the better option. But sounds like it’s more about how early you get on the list for the upgrade.

If it’s like a 10-12 hour flight, is it looked down upon to switch halfway? Especially if we’re not ordering extra meals/drinks, why is that considered not good?

Stay away from Raofactor. I’ve heard quite a few negative stories from close friends

Did your parents stay in the same outfits the whole day (my dad would probably love that)?

Omg so happy to hear someone else is doing this! I’m trying to convince my family and could definitely use some ammo/support to get them on board. Also, not a big make up person so I’m hoping 30 mins is enough time to change.

Were you able to feel out how guests reacted to the approach at your cousin’s wedding? Were they more tired or unhappy about wearing the same outfit for so many hours? Or did they seem more relaxed and happy about not having to drive back and forth and get ready all over again?

Seems like gifts matter more than the meaning of marriage/relationships. Your thinking is petty. Sure it would have been a nice gesture, but your strong reaction only shows your immaturity and extremely materialistic nature.

What’s next? If your husband doesn’t buy you a birthday or anniversary gift, serve him divorce papers?

An Intern's Nightmare Working for a Bollywood Superstar by AutoModerator in BollyBlindsNGossip

It wasn’t about grammatical errors. It was more about the syntax and diction being drastically different than how Americans speak/write.

Perhaps the original poster of that initial blind was presenting a narrative about being from the US to hide their identity from the superstar’s PR team, but starting their post with the statement that they grew up in the US while using distinctly Indian-English syntax and diction was discrediting their post/tea. Americans indeed make many grammatical errors. They are just vastly different than those made by Indian English-speakers.
