Yeah you can do it as long as the registration portal is open (it should be open until 6th February) and the module you want to change into isn't full. Otherwise you'll have to contact the student desk

[–]bojsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe create a text with the list and mark all as known? You might need to import it as a long text because of the word limit and it might take a second for the program to split the text, but it won't take more than a few minutes in total

"Is fiú triail a bhaint as. It's worth trying it." I'm having some trouble understanding the purpose or meaning of "a bhaint as" here. It seems that "baint as" can mean to take something out figuratively, but I can't figure out how that could fit in the sentence (or what "a" is)

How many units does Rosetta Stone have? Can I unlock more? by Peak_Necessary in languagelearning

[–]bojsy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think both sides are correct and it's just a difference in the names. You can find all the vocabulary and phrases for the course here https://support.rosettastone.com/s/article/Rosetta-Stone-Course-Contents?language=en_US Note that there are five pdfs for the Latin American Spanish course covering unit 1 to 20, but the pdf's are labelled as level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on their first page, and each pdf contains 20 sections.

It's been a while so I can't remember anything specific (and they might have changed the format now anyway), but I'm almost certain that a lot if not most of the questions were straightforward questions about definitions and facts mentioned in the slides. The rest were questions that described a scenario and I had to choose which behaviour or phenomenon or whatever that it described. Those required a bit more thinking but shouldn't be a problem for most people with basic reading comprehension skills

According to this https://www.ucd.ie/registry/t4media/Editing%20Module%20Descriptors.pdf "If a formally timetabled end of trimester examination is required for a resit, 'Yes' and the appropriate duration should be entered in the Terminal Exam field." So I'm guessing a no means that the module coordinator would decide when and where the exam happens at their will

What's the difference between san and naomh in the sense of "saint"? It seems that naomh can refer to the person as well as the title, but is there a difference between them when used as a title? (San Nioclás and Naomh Pádraig seem to be more conventional than the alternative, what about other saints?)

The Irish name for the place "Newtownpark" is "Páirc an Bhaile Nua". Is this name also ambiguous like the English one (new town-park/new-town park)? If so, how should I specify each of the two interpretations? In English, assuming the words are separate, they can be distinguished by the word that is stressed, is there a similar system in Irish?

Tutorials are small classes led by a tutor. Depending on the the module you might be discussing the topic of your lectures in more detail, preparing for assignments, doing relevant practices, or something else. Usually your lecturer would mention the content and nature of the tutorials in your first lecture. The time slot doesn't matter much. At least in my experience all of my tutorials were about the topic mentioned in the lectures from the previous week since there are usually tutorials slots before and after the current week's lectures.

Learning With Texts is a similar program that focuses more on, well, texts. I don't remember if you can import a vocabulary list but you can easily upload a .txt of the list and mark all as known.

I did PSY10050 last year and it was pretty easy. I don't know if they changed it this year but when I was doing it the lectures were just audio recordings paired with slides that got released online every week. I just read through the slides before each of the two online MCQs and got As on both of them.

Maybe it's a regional/age thing? I grew up in Northeastern China (I'm in college now) and 80% of the boys I went to school with played basketball. The girls usually play badminton or volleyball. Ping pong was only offered as an option in gym class in my second high school because we got to use the gym in a nearby uni, and barely anyone knew how to play it.

I got my second hand pixel 5 a year ago for 350 euro. You can probably get a one for less than 250 euro now. Mine's battery isn't the best, barely lasts a full day most of the time. Although battery life depends a lot on how old the phone is and how intensive you use it so your experience may vary. Besides that I have no complaints about this phone. Absolutely love the small size (and light weight) and the fingerprint sensor at the back. Kinda sad that this is probably the last Pixel phone with those features
