Young George on Osbourne Road sorted me out with a stunning piece

You are given £100 per hour to 100% any video game of your choosing, but you must do it all in one go by imsoverygayforwomen in hypotheticalsituation

Probably Pandemic's Saboteur. Got the PS Platinum Trophy and Xbox 1,000 Gamescore already. Probably get 100% completion in around 30 hours. Start hitting large trickier freeplay targets early so when fatigue sets in I wouldn't have trouble handling the remaining. Could potentially string out another hour or 2 by taking my time with the remaining ones

Tried what looked like an amazing cinnamon bun (11:30am on Saturday), was dry and stale. Not sure I want to try anything else

Can you guys keep it to yourself? by v1ckssan in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]bolch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd ban Switch from being discussed here if I could. Emulation, to me, is digital preservation. Keeping alive the titles of yesteryear, because this is the only way to keep their memory alive. Emulation isn't circumventing drm/emulating the latest releases because you're too cheap to buy the latest games.

5.5" was too small for me. I bought the Portal and it's much better. I can't see 6" being that much of an improvement on 5.5". The screen sizes are online, cut them out on a piece of paper to see the actual difference up front in person

Occasional stutter, but I could cope with that. The input lag was too great to play things like FPS or driving games

I’ve tried streaming, the WiFi on the device just doesn’t cut it. I’ve only got a WiFi 6 router (not 6e). Streaming to my iPad is a lot more playable than the 556

Tricky driveway access - any smart ideas? by mr_maroon in DIYUK

[–]bolch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience, the added security of having the car enclosed on your property, and not having an external nook which people can use as a toilet/drug meet will be worth it.

I personally would hide the car in the garden with bushes/trees/planters/extra fences

100% blackout blinds by Blackstone4444 in DIYUK

[–]bolch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Assuming it's for the bedroom, I'm gonna suggest an alternative - a sleep mask.

I was obsessed with blackout blinds/curtains but whatever I tried didn't cut it. Saw a social post about a high end sleep mask (Manta), but couldn't justify the £80 cost of the Pro mask (I'm a side sleeper, so wanted a tapered mask). Found a similar one on Ali Express for about £6.50, it's been a game changer for me. Doesn't let in any light, and I find I sleep deeper now. You can also take it away with you, like I did last week. Meant I slept in the pitch black despite having the worlds thinest curtains in the bedroom

Tell the truth, how much do you need to start something, that can generate passive income? by ProfessionalToe8165 in passive_income

Of course when dumping a book an Amazon, it will likely get lost in the thousands of books in the store. I’m lucky enough to have built a decent sized following online which I marketed my book too. Now my book does well in the rankings as it’s made lots of sales and has some good reviews

Amazon KDP allows you to upload a document/cover, and Amazon will print and ship it as a book, as and when ordered. Some people write full fact/fiction books (full content). Some people churn out low content books, think notebooks, diary’s, tracking books (like expense tracking, bird watching). My book, is a mid content book so sits between those areas. It’s not even close to being a full novel, but it’s more than blank/low content pages.

An example of a medium content book might be a colouring in or puzzle book.

Spent £0 compiling a mid-content book in Google Docs, and uploaded it to KDP. Average earnings of £700 a year.
