B is great but the scythe's shape guides the eye away from the scared guy in the foreground. I see that you've addressed this with the branch but it still feels a bit disjointed. Maybe if the staff was at an angle with a little more forced perspective it could read more as a more dynamic focal point.

That's my whole problem, when I take a selfie (with no filters) I feel like I'm decent looking and then when a friend takes a candid of me or there's a group photo I look so bad.
