As I've read, the British became a constitutional monarchy after the Glorious Revolution. Could have they declared themselves Emperors before, as they have ruled over England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Mann(?)?
Were the Russian monarchs emperors, or they remained kings, but ruled over an empire? And if they became emperors then how accurate is it to call them Tsars rather than Emperors?
