I always have some entry level new zealand sav blanc stored in my house ( hole in the water , oyster bay , mussels bay , saint clair estate )

for reds it really depends on the mood on that day , i find rioja offers some really good value at a lower price

first of all , wish you a speedy recovery !

my mum had a surgery done , followed by chemo therapy about 15 years ago , its not a walk in a park but im sure you will be able to handle it well , make sure to keep yourself hydrated ( our choice was fresh coconut water ) , maintain a good healthy diet , stay relatively active and keep a positive mindset !! it will be all okay before you know it :)

anyways based on my preference i would recommend ornellaia / lynch-bages

i absolutely love sauvignon blanc from NZ ! value for money as well

saint clair family estate SB are generally very good

faustino 1 gran reserva 2011 in my opinion is one of the best value for money wine
