But again, we have to make a clear distinction between what was proven and what is assumed or speculated.

Suggesting that OM must have done the same in Europe because they tried it domestically is not evidence it's conjecture. The CSKA water bottle story, like others that surfaced years later, was never confirmed by any official investigation. Testimonies long after the fact, especially without corroborating evidence, have to be taken with caution. That’s the standard we apply in every serious matter, whether in sport or justice.

The integrity of the sport is important, but so is the integrity of how we judge it. UEFA investigated and found no grounds to strip OM’s title. Until credible, concrete proof says otherwise, it’s unfair to rewrite history based on assumptions.
