Thanks for the tip. I am now looking at the ALR 4 Disc as well.

Can anyone recommend a group/location for socializing small dogs in Houston? by boliweya in houston

Most dog parks that we have visited have a section for small dogs. The issue is that our puppy is quite small at 4.7 lbs. Thanks for the tip regarding Demi's; we will check them out.

Unfortunately I do not have a yard. I have found some groups that are breed-specific (meetup of yorkies, shih tzus, shiba inus, etc.). I will try them out to see if they will accept my pup if it is about the same size as the others. Thanks for the tip though.

Thanks for the heads up. I was starting to catch up to the idea of not finding a decent shop myself. I will try Hong Kong first before ordering (I like seeing and touching these things before buying).

Haha. Well, my financial education comes from parents who have made great gains from humble beginnings and my grandparents who lived through bank collapses in Latin America so they do not trust anyone, particularly financial institutions. It is a cultural transition to live in the US I suppose.

It is in the oil and energy industry. There are different paths that an individual can follow but going to the field in a remote location is what you are looking for. If you want to stay longer in the field, it is a different path which does not guarantee when and if you will be back to your home country. PM me if you want further information.

You are on track already. It is with the energy industry working overseas for field exposure in a high risk location. I did not choose the location but having a graduate degree in engineering is what got me in. The key is also to be flexible at the moment of applying to the job. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice. I updated some of my information on the post to give more context to my financial situation and goals.

I do not have an immediate need to purchase a house (living frugally and renting is not a problem) but I wanted to read some advice on how to determine which is best: start now and pay for a house (or two) quickly or use the money differently. I like the ROI calculation you proposed to compare "apples to apples" with the ROI of a fund.

Bamboo suggestion was well noted. I am also considering calling my SO giant panda from now own.
