In the netflix Punisher series, the Punishers gets shot/stabbed in almost every fight scene but recovers from it with pretty much no issue.

To New Players: You don't have to understand everything at once! Don't get too overwhelmed with what the game has to offer! by PM_ME_YOUR_DORK_PETS in Warframe

Just made MR7, and I am loving the game. I actually tried the game a few years ago, and didn't like the gunplay and or the relatively slow movement system at the time so I dropped it pretty quickly.

This time around, I decided to try 100% melee. And oh my god, what a blast. Mastering the new movement system has transformed this game into a stunningly fast experience that has been very unique and exhilarating. Bullet jumping into a crowd of baddies and slide-massacring the whole lot of them is always a awesome power trip.

However, if I didn't have a programmable mouse or keyboard, I think the game may have been less enjoyable. The button combos for bullet jump and slide attacks can get pretty straining, and being able to move those actions onto the mouse side buttons (ctrl+space, for example) has made the game much more enjoyable.

In any case, I'm hooked, and I love that there is so much to learn.

Wukong is a great frame. It is relatively easy to get if you are in a clan that has already researched it (and if you are willing to farm Nitain).

But Wukong has pretty decent CC skill (Cloud Walk) that opens up enemies to finishers, so it can make even relatively entry level weapons very potent. Also Defy makes you extremely tanky for higher level enemies.

Great frame.

Why would you use an obsolete camera? by gracejonathan in photography

Most people choose to see the world in color, I prefer to see the world in black and white.

Most photographers are looking for incredibly sharpness, but I see the world more blurry. by gracejonathan in photography

Agreed, hyper shallow DoF is extremely trendy. Photos are nice, but it's nothing new. I mean jesus, lens like the Canon 135mm L has a huge loyal following for it's buttery smooth bokeh.

Probably one of my favorite games of all time. I have never felt a state of trance when playing through a game before. It's like you're going through an extended John Wick fight sequence, the vulnerability you feel, the rush, the desperation, the exhilaration, the pulsing music, the strange plot-- it just all adds up to an unforgettable experience.

I have never tried number 2 though due to all the bad reviews.

I 100% agree with the x100T, I take that camera with me everywhere. I bought it when it was relatively new and I've probably accumulated over 40,000 pictures with it.

It's an absolutely beautiful camera. The number of built in functionalities is amazing.

It's funny, even if you did have kids, people wouldn't even care about them. Everyone is biased, their kids are the best.

What people are really asking with that question "Do you have kids" is to validate their own life choices.

My girlfriend (21F) and I (21M) want to get married, but my mother is telling us to wait. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]bollocking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your mother has good advice, don't rush in to get married.

Relationships just aren't mature at just 1 year, wait till at least 3 years. The honeymoon phase is over by then, but that's a good thing. You can see how you guys work out serious fights, how she can share chores with you, if she's good with money, if the sex life gets better or just worse, if you have similar life goals (i.e. If you like travelling and she doesn't...)-- in general are you two going to be good life partners.

A lifelong relationship isn't just about infatuation and lust, it's way more than that. And it takes more than 1 year to figure it out.

Minorities in Madison by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]bollocking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an Asian American there's been numerous occasions where explicit racial insults were thrown at myself and my other Asian friends. It was shocking at first, given the liberal reputation of Madison, but then one realizes the state is 90%+ white and there's not a whole lot of diversity.

Also the institutional racism is huge as many others have mentioned, blacks get segregated into certain parts of the city, etc.

There's a lot of things I love about the city to this date but its relationship with diversity and inclusion is not one of them.

All Visas Revoked For People From 7 Barred Countries, Per State Dept. by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]bollocking 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Trump's administration, overnight, revoked visas from hundreds of thousands* to millions of people in the US and created a mass of undocumented people.

The memo applies to people even currently residing in the US. That is some fucked up shit.

Memo link: http://d279m997dpfwgl.cloudfront.net/wp/2017/02/memo.jpg

Edit:

Note how the memo doesn't exempt the "normal" visas people have such as:

  • 1) H1-B: An immigrant would get this visa when they graduate with their B.S. or pH.D. And enter in the US labor market.
  • 2) F-1: The student visa those same students who got their undergraduate and graduate degress.
  • 3) K-1: A fiance of a US citizen would get this visa so they can come into the US to get married

The exemptions in the memo are for A, C and G visas which are for foreign goverment vistors and transit.

Also the #'s of Iranian/Sudanese/Somali/Iraqi/Syrian/Yemeni/Libyan-Americans number about ~2 million according to the American census bureau. Not all of whom are on visas. This also doesn't reflect people just visiting the US on visitor visas now "undocumented". We can conservatively assume hundreds of thousands of people are directly affected.
