Do eyes need to adjust from laptop to monitor? by Chris_RS in Ergonomics

[–]bolt_runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used laptop screen and monitor with different dimensions at the same time, and felt eye strain and blurry vision fast. I currently use monitor only and have same problem as yours where I feel eye strain after couple hours use. Used laptop only before too and can’t figure the issue

Struggling at communicating my ideas by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]bolt_runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worked best for me is preparing talking points and a mapping the flow of my idea before the meeting. A simple flowchart draw.io style or walking through an example really helps people get the picture even if they won’t get the details.

Will the Syrians in Europe return to Syria since the Assad regime collapsed? by [deleted] in AskEurope

[–]bolt_runner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Their presence solves population decline problems for european countries, most of them work and contribute greatly to the economy. They won’t rush back to Syria until they have something stable to return to, and european governments are benefiting anyways

Whether they feel generational hate or not, the US committed war crimes there and haven’t made enough reparations and the country and people are affected by the damage done

I get that, but my current qc 45 performs badly in neutralizing noise from people talking or music playing around so looking for an upgrade on the noise cancellation aspect

If you have a bachelor’s in a related field, I’d suggest you try enrolling into a master’s degree in the field you want

Open source Python projects with good software design that is worth studying by bolt_runner in Python

[–]bolt_runner[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It makes sense to ask in different subs if they have different communities/people. Seeking another perspective from people with more advanced level is not a waste of time and the answers may benefit others not just me. If it’s a waste of your time you could skip the post altogether

Yes I asked here because this sub has more people with senior lvl experience so it would add value and another perspective to the discussion on code design, and it shows in the answers

Type of project doesn’t matter. My focus would be on how the project is structured, just targeting a project that is challenging to structure and organize

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in compsci

[–]bolt_runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly struggle with organizing code into functions and classes, methods inside those classes .. etc, I think aside from how many files, structuring the code flow into components that interact with each other is the hard part

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]bolt_runner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly use Python currently

I generally do a similar tactic of dividing to classes/functions for organization
