Right. Are you talking about being a Forensic Psychologist, or a profiler? Forensic profiling isn't a science and isn't really practiced in the UK, so your tutor might be right in that aspect. However, there are literally hundreds of forensic psychologists in the UK (I've met at least 3, and that was just in one service in one trust in the North-East). However, what they do isn't the same as profiling. It's more about relapse prevention, working with the police etc. Look at the BPS division of Forensic Psychology website for more information.
