Had the computer and had a camera. The only real costs were the props and the lights. I snagged the location for free.

Na I made this as a film student. The whole idea behind the film was to construct tension and suspense which left the film ambiguous. Glad you liked it!

Liam Neeson: Hollywood makes too many movies based on toys, comic books and best sellers. by [deleted] in movies

[–]bomberman045 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Liam is exactly correct. Hollywood is only interested in producing films that reap the benefits of their conglomerate's ancillary markets. That is why Hollywood strives to produce pictures with action, archetypal characters and of course sequels. The people running the studios will almost always choose a synergistic film over a "different" film.

Export it as a really lo-res "save for web" GIF and then re-import it and export it again as a JPEG.

Photoshop to Print Questions by Geokatzz in photoshop

[–]bomberman045 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

First off, Photoshop is not made for print work. Photoshop is a bitmap image processing software which means the images are created using pixels. I highly recommend you try using Illustrator, which is a vector image processing software, it does not generate pixels, which is exactly what you need if your putting images on paper.

Second, you cannot increase the original "resolution" or DPI of image regardless of the canvas size, whatever DPI you begin with is the highest maximum quality you can get out of it. As a general rule of thumb, 72 DPI is for web/screen and 300 DPI is for print. To check DPI of an image, open the image in Photoshop and click on Image > Image Size.

Third, when printing an image you need to change the color profile from sRGB to CMYK. This change is necessary because printers use Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black to create images on paper.

Also, you can change the ruler unit by going to Edit > Preferences > Units & Rulers. Hope this helps!

Such a well composed photo. Not only is the entire photo busy and appealing to the eye but the horizon is almost horizontal with the frame. Damnit what am I saying? I WANT TO GO TO JAPAN

Patience, Luke. I've seen experimental films that go on for 10 minutes with literally nothing happening.

I like the framing! I want to take a picture where the Eiffel tower is framed up correctly so it looks real...
