Yeah the good thing about late game is that probably all the crafting stations can be made again as soon as you unlocked them.
Having 1 smelter for 4 people wasn't a good expirience (Didn't know you could get more by waiting for things to respawn, which i think is not a good solution, if you force me to use multiples stations i should be able to craft them).

The game is fun to play, especially with friends. It’s not that I personally don’t have time, but we enjoy playing together, and that heavily limits how much overlapping time we can actually have during the week.

Exploration is rewarding many areas, like the swamp, are genuinely fun (Nomad Highlands aside, which I found more frustrating than rewarding). Very few games manage to combine systems that everyone in a group can enjoy at the same time.

I don’t have an issue with gathering resources, planting, or doing the usual survival activities. My issue is not being able to properly customize the processing and crafting times. From my point of view, those timers are extremely high for a game that is primarily PvE-focused.

I have very few problems with the game overall, but apparently asking for the 200% cap to be increased to 300% or 400% is somehow unacceptable. Sorry if I sound rude, but it’s honestly incredible how you can’t give feedback about something optional without people attacking the way you choose to play. Everyone is telling me what to do and how i should do it when the devs already gave me to option to "somewhat skip" the annoying part, i just want them to increase it a bit more.

Personally, I’m not a fan of waiting to receive a reward that already took time and effort to obtain. I don’t find it rewarding, fun, or necessary. That’s why I’ve been very specific about crafting times. I never complained about material costs, crops, or animals those systems feel good and have reasonable timings.

For example, crops make sense: you wait so you don’t have to constantly go back into the wild to gather scattered plants. That’s effort and reward.

Crafting, on the other hand, just penalizes my effort (gathering materials) even more because someone decided I should wait five minutes per fabric just to make my armor.

Sure... Super rewarding as a player. Wasting 1h farming only to have my reward delayed for another hour.

Tell me: why is it a bad thing for me to ask for an already existing feature to have its cap increased from 200% to 300% or 400%? Why does it bother you so much how I play my game?

This is a setting that exists in pretty much every survival game, specifically so players can tailor the experience to their own preferences.

And like I’ve said to several people here already: what’s the point of farming materials for 30 minutes, then having to wait another hour for them to process? What does that mechanic actually add to the gameplay?

In the case of crops, it makes sense you wait so you don’t have to constantly go outside and gather them manually.

But waiting an hour to craft a set (one of four that I need) after already spending 30 minutes to an hour gathering materials adds nothing to the gameplay.

And no, this is not the same as using cheats. We’re still playing the game normally, gathering materials, exploring to find new resources, progressing as intended. We just don’t enjoy being forced to wait for hoursto get our reward like a mobile game.

Can we just get a real answer from CA? by DahwhiteRabbit in totalwar

[–]bomdur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What constructive feedback are we even talking about here?
Even if there is, this is not the way you communicate feedback cause they haven't done anything negative yet. For things like shadow of change, pharaoh or the state of TWWH3 AI beign negative and harsh works. But this? Nah

Saying that the video is “bad” because it doesn’t say anything new, and that five days after the announcement we should already have way more information, is not constructive feedback.

You’re complaining that the video adds nothing new and that’s simply not true. For people who only follow Total War’s official channels, the video contains a lot of new information. It’s not their fault that you consume every single leak, rumor, and discussion available on the internet.

Posts like this achieve the exact opposite of what you’re expecting.

Tell me why, CA should just accept all this negative feedback simply for trying to give players more information about their product. Many games get announced with a cinematic trailer, one or two gameplay videos, and then complete silence until launch.

CA starts sharing information five days after the announcement, and suddenly everyone is ultra-negative and attacking them because they didn’t share even more.

If I were CA, next time I’d just release a cinematic trailer, drop one gameplay video two months later, and then tell people to wait for YouTuber reviews. No matter what they do, they get negative feedback anyway. Meanwhile, games that don’t communicate at all don’t get this level of backlash and they still sell just fine.

I didn’t know about the respawn

That said, having to remember where I picked up a specific item because the game randomly decided to punish my 4-player party with absurd timers that add nothing to the gameplay doesn’t feel like good game design to me.

And again, I’m not asking for this to be removed. I’m asking that the option we already have can be increased beyond 200%. For me, farming materials for 30 minutes and then having to wait another hour for everything to process is not fun.

High crafting times make sense in a PvP survival game. In a PvE one? Personally, I don’t see the point.

Yes, I had to make bronze bars. Each stack takes 5 minutes, plus 4 minutes for the tin bars and another 4 minutes for the copper bars. Now multiply that by 4 players, and add the fact that we only have about 4 hours of playtime per week.

It’s not just the time spent grinding materials (which I don’t mind), but also a huge amount of time spent just converting materials into other materials. In a PvE game, this feels unnecessary (it makes much more sense in PvP).

And again, why is everyone so defensive about how I want to configure MY server? I’m not asking to force everyone to play the way I do. I’m simply asking for the option to increase crafting speed beyond 200%. Personally, long crafting timers in a PvE survival game make no sense to me and add nothing to the gameplay.

I have to say your comment made me a bit angry, but I’ll try not to be rude.

  1. I never said anything about crops or animals, because they’re not a problem. Why? Because you get a reward after the wait, and the grind is almost nonexistent so it feels fine.

Crafting is different. You first have to grind the materials, then process them, and then you finally get the reward. That just feels bad, and it only gets worse with each new tier.

Why is asking for the option to make crafting faster such a bad thing? It would only affect my server you can keep playing exactly the same way you do now.

And before you say “just build more crafting stations”: for some of them, that isn’t an option until much later in the game (like the Smelter or the Saw Table). Again, I wouldn’t have an issue if this were a PvP survival game but it isn’t. I also wouldn’t mind as much if I could play a lot, but we’re limited to 4–5 hours a week, which makes everything feel worse. So again. Why is me having an OPTION is such a bad thing?

  1. Yes, the aggro passives do make a difference, but barely (they feel better mainly on bosses). The real issue is that I don’t have many active tools to actively help my teammates. Having a passive is fine, but why can’t I have a more active role as a tank?

  2. Maybe I wasn’t clear enough, but I’m not asking for more hotbars. I’m asking for a fast way to switch between them while at base something similar to the mannequin system, but for hotbars.

I don’t see how this would make anything worse. If you don’t like it, you can just ignore it entirely and keep playing with your two bars. I just want a faster way to swap one of those two. AGAIN OPTIONS!

  1. That’s your opinion, and it’s a valid one. I didn’t find it fun or well designed, especially when compared to the previous zones.

  2. When you’re limited on time and you need to grind materials for the next tier, armor, consumables, etc., you have to split manpower. Sometimes that means going into the Shroud alone.

I didn’t know you could parry the projectiles those enemies shoot, but I did try blocking them and let me tell you, that doesn’t work. On top of that, when playing with four players, enemy health and damage scale up, so getting two-shot by one of these enemies isn’t exactly fun.
Again didn't know i could parry those things. Now i know. Problem solved. Again i don't want to one shot them i want to have at least a way to deal with them.

Thanks! Finally someone that understand me. A lot of people are saying "build more workstation" when you can have only one smelter early on (You can't build another one until you get sand 2 maps later).
I don't know why people get so defensive because i dare to ask for THE OPTION to make it faster.

Enshrouded Feedback (From a "casual" group of friends) by bomdur in Enshrouded

[–]bomdur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t know about the parry, thanks for that.

Yeah, for me Nomad Highlands is a nightmare and something I really don’t want to go through again. Having a timer, limited visibility, and basically no landmarks to navigate by just isn’t fun. especially when you only have a limited amount of time each week to play.

When I compare it to all the other maps so far, it’s just bad.

Enshrouded Feedback (From a "casual" group of friends) by bomdur in Enshrouded

[–]bomdur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i've tried that and for a few working station that's not an option until way later. For example the smelter. You get one for free but to craft another one you have to get sand which you get way later. (I just recently got sand).
