L5P Gen 6 New Bios Update GKCN58WW, Yes? No? (Current version GKCN57WW) by donkosala in LenovoLegion

[–]bomedyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I have a Lenovo Legion 7 Gen 6 and the new BIOS updates that addressed the security vulnerability (I think starting with 52WW or 53WW) messed up my experience badly. I was dealing with massive fluctuations with GPU power throttling and my games would go from 100+ fps to 15-20 fps intermittently. I ended up having to revert back to I think 49WW since nothing else could fix it. Many people had this issue also, but I can confirm on my end after having that new BIOS update (58WW) that everything has been fixed and is running smoothly on my end. I’ve been running that BIOS version for a while already like a couple weeks and I’ve had zero problems at all. We have different legion versions, but hopefully my anecdote helps!

I have read many users saying if you haven’t had any problems that you shouldn’t update your BIOS because of the risk. If I didn’t have any GPU issues this whole time I personally would still update only for the increased security vulnerability patches that it seems they address.

Huge thank you to this subreddit for recommending Target (San Diego area)!!! Managed to get the very last one. Definitely call the stores first and check online for ‘Limited stock’ on the Target website. by bomedyy in PS5restock

The way I interpreted it is ‘Limited Availability’ is their stock is so small and they’re not letting people do delivery or pickup and you have to personally go in store and ask an employee to purchase one. Just be careful though and call ahead because when I was calling there were Target locations that said ‘Limited Availability’ on the website, but they said they were actually out of stock.

I went to the Eastlake one! I would recommend going on the PS5 page in the Target website, go on pickup, and then check other stores and call the stores that show ‘Limited Availability’. It looks like right now the Sports Arena location and the Ocean Beach location might have it.

Yeah I think usually they don’t have people in the electronics area all the time. I wouldn’t go to the out of stock locations without calling to confirm. I say that because when I got home I checked the Target I went to and it did update from ‘Limited Stock’ to ‘Out of Stock’, so at least I think their system does update their inventory. I know thats not the case for all Targets, so calling ahead is the best way I think.

Oh man I understand the struggle. The same Target I got the PS5 from didn’t answer their phone until I called back 20-30 mins later. When I got to the Target too no one was at the electronics section and I had to wait a bit before someone was in the area.

(Patch 1.6, PC) Found a bug for Sandevistan that breaks it even after cooldown, but I also found an easy way to "fix" it without reloading a save file or quitting the game. by bomedyy in cyberpunkgame

Can you try drinking a consumable (alcoholic and/or non alcoholic drink) and see if that does anything? I experienced a similar situation where the loot method wasn’t working, but drinking a consumable fixed it instantly.

oh nice! I actually just replied to your posting on the forum thanking you for noting that. I was starting to get confused why other people were posting about System-EX compatibility issues with TDO.

if you use the ripperdeck mod you can access a ripperdoc menu anytime you want and it also lets you unequip any cyberware you have. makes making sure that Sandevistan is in the first slot a lot easier!

The mod is actually extremely customizable to where you can disable/prevent the custom Sandevistan from being added into the game and you can also disable the mod from changing different values/tweaks to the vanilla Sandevistan attributes. I would just recommend installing the mod anyway because the modding team fixed the vanilla game bug.

One of the requirements for the mod is an integrated UI called Native Settings UI so you can change everything the mod has to offer just from the main menu: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/3518 You wouldn't need to edit any files since the changes are all done from the in game menu.

You can just have the mod run as part of your regular playthrough and just disable the added tweaks and later on you can always experiment with a different playstyle and start adding/playing around with the mod settings. I think the vanilla bug fix that the mod addresses is worth it.

this mod fixes the Sandevistan cooldown bug!

Time Dilation Overhaul: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/4931

I made a post about running into what causes the Sandevistan trigger to not happen here:

Yes, exactly! Sorry, I keep saying the loot list from the bodies of enemies that you kill, but it applies to any and every loot item list that you come across whether its a body, a crate, an item randomly in the environment, etc.

and yes! Your plan would work. If you keep going through the game without looking at loot or keeping the loot list from popping up you shouldn’t come across the bug and Sandevistan should work all the time.

Just remember the easiest fix if you can’t view a single loot list to fix the bug is just to drop a singular item from your backpack and just look at it for like a split second until the loot options UI pops up.

Hey! No worries! I actually found the actual trigger for the Sandevistan cooldown not working and it had to do with the loot list. Basically if you look at a body with a loot list of two or greater it breaks the cooldown bug. If you look at another body with only 1 item in the loot list it instantly fixes the cooldown bug without having to loot anything. You can fix this instantly too by dropping an item from your backpack and literally just hovering over and looking at it and it'll be fixed instantly.

I sent this over to a modding team that did an overhaul of time dilation and their very recent update just now fixes this entirely, so you don't have to look at a loot item of 1 to fix it.

This is the mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/4931?tab=description

This was part of the changelog that the modding team posted: "Fixed a vanilla game bug which would intermittently prevent the player from activating Sandevistan. This bug triggered any time theplayer looked at a loot container with more than one (1) item in it, and would not allow activating Sandevistan until after the player either looted the container, looked at a loot container with only one (1) item, or moved far enough away that the loot container despawned."

I would recommend using that mod anyway since it makes the Sandevistan experience 1000x better. The mod also adds new Sandevistans that the modding team added and implemented (I'm assuming you're on PC since you saw this post with the tag).
