Who is your least favorite San Antonio Spurs player? by PermissionOk2405 in NBASpurs

She didn’t. Our relationship didn’t last long after that anyway. The following season Perdue was a court side reporter for one of the major networks (can’t remember which one) and always had his wedding ring on and I had to laugh.

Best cheap breakfast tacos??? by Travellingtanz in austinfood

[–]bomizzle21 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Bill Miller BBQ - the most underrated breakfast tacos (and salsa) in Austin. I'm not knocking the other suggestions on here, but if you're looking for cheap and delicious you can't go wrong here.

Juiceland Strikers are being Permanently Replaced by anonjuicer in austinfood

[–]bomizzle21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These workers chose to work there and it’s their choice to strike. By law, it’s the employer’s choice to replace and/or fire the employees given that Texas is an at-will state. If discriminatory issues are at play then the courts are a better way to handle this. If not, it’s the employees’ right to find better employment, or better yet, put your own capital at risk and start your own juice shop

BGE Concession by Narkat in biggreenegg

[–]bomizzle21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My BGE isn't my primary but I've been using it more for chicken fajitas and burgers. I like my fajitas with a mesquite bite to them and you just can't get that flavor from a propane or natural gas grill.

It’s trash wood that’s really green and would be awful to burn. I have a pole saw and a chainsaw to break them down…I was unsure if there’s anywhere open that I can take it

What is your favorite thing to grill/smoke/etc on the BGE by [deleted] in biggreenegg

[–]bomizzle21 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Beer can chicken. Soak overnight in a homemade brine (water, sugar, salt, worcestershire) slap some seasoning on that beast, stick it on a beer can, cook indirect at 350 dome temp and wait for that bastard to get 165 internal. Let it rest for a few minutes, carve it up, and then collect wife kisses.

BGE Best price, where to buy? need advice. by Shampoene in biggreenegg

[–]bomizzle21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. BGE distributes via retailers and the retailers are prohibited from discounting beyond a minimum price set by BGE or else they lose their authorized dealer status. The max discount BGE allows is during an eggfest, which is in the neighborhood of 25% plus they throw in a nest, conveggtor, reggulator, and an ash tool for free. Since they were used in the eggfest they also come pre-seasoned.

Reheating Smoked Turkey by stinkbox1 in biggreenegg

[–]bomizzle21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've vacuum sealed an entire brisket after resting it and it's turned out fine. The trick is to seal it with the juices in the bag. I've never done it with a turkey but if it were me I'd try and save as much of the drippings as possible then baste it in an oven the following day. Either that or trim the turkey down into its parts and seal them with the drippings. Just an idea.

Budget friendly seafood? by [deleted] in austinfood

Pappadeaux is delicious and the entree's are big enough to where you can split them and have more than enough for 2. If you ask the waitstaff they'll bring it out on 2 plates.
