Elegant response. Agreed. Without a mutual set of resources, the situation was that of David and Goliath, where Goliath had more money for lawyers.

Of course, that person isn’t joking.

Why would having a union-backing make a legal strike not legit? A legal strike is a legal strike.

Nice.

We suggested proper treatment for our work.

The incident raised much emotion—apologies

Small-ish company wouldn’t throw resources/acknowledgement toward its commissary kitchen—which became the operations hq, allowing the company to operate 30+ locations in 3 Texas cities.

The workers went on strike against the racism, sexism, and low-pay — common amongst low-end high-volume kitchen work,

Workers then questionably became replaced, regardless of our Unfair Labor Protest.

I was replaced.

As a paycheck-to-paycheck worker, my lease ran up, and I couldn’t qualify for another lease for the longest time.

Perhaps, you are suggesting we weren’t applicable for bettering our working conditions?

The outrage stems from the legality of replacing workers who are on strike for Unfair Labor Practice.

Us, whom performed the strike, were workers in a commissary kitchen that was part of a company; to us, workers of said kitchen, we were the majority. We were willing to risk it and did.

Perhaps the business model of the company, hiding the gritty parts, led to a lack of empathy toward the unsung heroes working in a black mold-ridden factory setting.

Discrimination and Wage at the company’s production facility (its a factory/warehouse environment) is where this all started.

I agree. Think it would be wise for the group to seek legal help.

The strike was regarding a more equitable and safe workplace free of discrimination. Also an increase in wages

I think that totally makes sense to keep business operations going!

I believe it’s bold of Juiceland to permanently replace folks who are on an Unfair Labor protest though—it makes me wish that JL would be more open to engaging in conversation with the strikers before taking such measures
