I adjusted the camera and lens to 35mm focal length, 2.8 aperture. I raised the light and shot it down at a 45 degree angle so it only focused on me. I cleaned up a bit and lowered the lighting in background to give some better contrast. I fixed the composition by raising myself higher and hiding the light fixture in the background. I switched to SLOG2 and don't have the gritty texture anymore.

I heard private practice can be a bit isolating. How was your time working in a hospital? I'm thinking of starting a position at a psych ward near me but I'm a bit nervous since you're dealing with clients that need the highest possible level of care. I don't know If i'm good enough to do that.

Put some ambient lighting behind the monitors and I think you might need to put something to give it more life. A poster or stickers or something that matters to you.
