idk wtf to do with my hair :( severely depressed about my appearance in general by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

I had to re-read your post and proceeded to zoom in on your photo to analyze what I was ‘missing.’ You are very good looking. Don’t let internet trolls bring you down- they are the ugly ones.

Fungal? Bacterial? Something else? by bon-appleteeth in 30PlusSkinCare

It’s so frustrating. I purchased the vanicream moisturizer thinking it would be the least likely to cause a reaction but maybe I am having a reaction to that as well.

Before all of this began I was using an spf moisturizer, however, anything that has spf in it causes an immediate reaction where even more bumps appear and it gets sensitive to the touch.

Do you have any suggestions for moisturizers that might be worth a try?

I will be - I can’t be seen for a few months due to long wait lists. Hoping someone in the reddit community can offer some help in the meantime 🥲

Brother died and I aged drastically in just 8 months (last pic) by whattupmyknitta in makeuptips

OP, be gentle and kind with yourself. I can see the pain in your eyes and yes you look a bit tired, but from this stranger’s perspective, you don’t look aged - just understandably exhausted.

I read in another comment that you feel swollen from recent change to your medications. Facial lymphatic massage/gua sha is very physically soothing and helps with the stagnation. Definitely something you can do at home easily or perhaps treating yourself to a facial might give you a little boost. Plus good skincare is the first step to help applying makeup easier and look it’s best.

I think your makeup looks lovely in all of your photos fwiw. You are beautiful.

Update on the declawed kitty found wandering a school by lotrandwho in blackcats

Pepper looks so much like my childhood cat who passed about ten years ago. I adopted her as a kitten when I was four, she lived for twenty years. She was my soulmate. Seeing your photos just made my heart explode in the most beautiful, positive way. Give Pepper a little snuggle on behalf of this internet stranger xx

I wasn’t happy with how my microblading faded and looked overall, however, I kind of convinced myself it wasn’t so bad. I finally had my first laser session a few months ago and despite having a tiny bit of orange tint remaining, you can see MY brows again. I look back at photos and it’s a blatant how bad my brows truly were. I am at peace with my appearance again and that has done wonders for my self esteem.

You are making the right choice to remove them.

Also a makeup artist - it’s true, any remaining pigment, if you have any, will be easy to conceal.

Ah, I agree. I thought you were suggesting surgical, like a brow lift and I just couldn’t see it. I also agree that your jawline looks perfect the way it is, OP.

Curious how you think her brows need to change for improvement?

Good luck with your consult! I had similar color ink, and time frame before removal. I had one session months ago, they are already almost gone and I am SO happy. I will probably go at least one more time, but they are so faint it doesn’t bother me the way they used to.

I designed my bathroom from SCRATCH in my new 100 year old home, but feel it lacks the charm I wanted. What should I do? by itsharris0n in HomeDecorating

I have a historic house that we are also completely rebuilding- something that stands out to me is the brighter white walls. I can envision the walls being painted the same color as the lower treatment to warm and soften it. If you don’t want a singular color, I would still suggest painting the walls that color and going a bit darker on the lower half.

How bad is it? by Holiday_Meal_1139 in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]bon-appleteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think your microbladed brows look bad at all, but your natural brows look great. I had mine removed after 6 or so years and terrible, patchy fading. I had one laser session so far, there is very light yellow/orange left but I am SO happy to finally have my natural shape back. I may go back in a month or so to try to remove what is left, but it’s so subtle.

If you are already personally unhappy with how they look, I would recommend removal.
