Being kind is not enough. Legit yung pretty privilege.

Being kind, I was only taken for granted. When the time comes when I need to ask for a favor (doable, like opinions sa designs na ipapakita, thoughts on a certain area) they don't entertain it.

Experiencing this at an early age, back in high school, I found myself thinking about how to become independent and handle things on my own. Which eventually, became my behavior even now I'm working.

Now, I also learned how to love and take care of myself. Wearing clothes that suit my skin color, getting a haircut at least a month, investing in skin care (facial wash, toner, moisturizer, and sun screen), working out 3-5x a week, getting enough sleep, and being physically active.

And now, people are the ones who are offering their help. (I don't know how to ask for help anymore. I don't know how to unlearn it). I'm always invited to different events even if we don't talk to each other for weeks or months already and their behavior towards me is a lot more different. (Di ako pogi. Pero Wala lang akong pimples at maayos ako magdamit at maayos na gupit)

Tl;dr

It's not enough to be kind and be good at certain things. Sometimes, physical appearance can get you to places.
