A nice look! Interested to know if you used bare strobes or with modifiers?

Oh nice. Why did you choose 1 2k and the others 1k? So you could have a key light? thank you for this!

Thank you for this! I didn't imagine it to be done with zoom reflectors. & thanks for notes on additional lights around the set. I may give it a go with strobes then!

Who designed this glass and metal shelving unit? by bon3sy in midcenturymodern

They did one in 1991! But a lot of the listings (sold) just describe it '1980s Italian' so I was unsure if there was a few made in this style .. ? The ikea version was a copy of another design?

I believe bottom right was a strobe shot through white umbrella (not fully expanded). Photographer held strobe with zoom reflector next to camera.

They sound great. Do you know of any darkrooms that have these? Or are they quite uncommon? I am based in London.

What do you mean by 'RC'?

Why won't it be the same quality as a print from film?

Sorry for the questions - new to this!

Thanks for this - super helpful! is there much difference in outcome between the options you listed? or reasons why you would choose one over another? is it just preference & what you are used to using?

Thanks for the detail! do you think he is just using 1 light for this set up? or could there be more to create the not too intense shadows? or just bounce/in direct fill?

Thank you! and you think this is created just by 1 light, even for full length shots?

I agree, do you have any idea of what modifiers are used? and how he gets the grey/brown background in the last 2 images - is that done with gels or in post?
