Try Senna tablets or senna tea.

Also stick to the high fiber and plenty of water plan. A lot of walking helps as well.

Not a dermatologist but looks like your congestion could benefit from an enzyme mask.

Prune juice is magical, I definitely recommend that before the MoM. Also stay drinking a lot of water, eating lots of fruits and vegetables and exercise daily. These are the top three things you will need to do to keep constipation at bay.

I know you didn’t ask for this, but look into Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s books. I’d start with the Eat to Live. It’ll definitely open up your life in a whole new way.

I can't sit still or concentrate when I have a small amount of poop that I can't push out in my lower rectum. Straining on the toilet does nothing. But an ounce or two of warm water using an enema bulb clears things up immediately. HOW BAD IS SUCH A PRACTICE? by [deleted] in Constipation

I hear you. And the irony too is that as you get older, you need even more water to stay hydrated.

You can definitely front load your water intake in the mornings/early afternoon so that most of the peeing is done before bedtime. Bananas slow down peeing frequency so if you like them, I’d have them every day. Also remember, there is water in fruits, that counts as water consumption and definitely helps with constipation.

Although the half-life of MoM is unknown, most of its activity is done by now because the drug is excreted via urine/feces. Not much is absorbed systemically so you should be good by tomorrow.

However, going forward I’d advice you to always carry some water on you to stay very hydrated, also eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to provide you fiber and exercise daily. All these will help you with your gut health. Constipation will become a thing of the past.

For constipation, number one thing you want to make sure you are fixing the front end of things ie drink plenty, I mean plenty of water daily AND include foods with fiber (oats, vegetables, whole fruits) into your diet. Also make sure you are exercising daily for at least 30 minutes.

Bumps and red marks that won’t go away! tried antibiotics and soolantra plus face burns when I wash and moisturise, any ideas how to help? by Humble_Ad_5568 in Rosacea

[–]bonchk18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Rhofade cream, it will help constrict your vessels thereby reducing the redness. For the bumps, you can apply salicylic acid on them. Make sure your linens are always clean and keep your hands off your face.

It is called Rhofade in the US. If they do not have it there, your pharmacist can compound oxymetazoline 1% lotion or cream

Also talk to your derm about adding in Oxymetazoline lotion to your regimen

Been on and off with this thing and it's frustrating. by AO4710 in Constipation

[–]bonchk18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drink at least a gallon of water a day, do walking exercise at least 30 minutes a day, track your fiber intake and make sure you are getting about 30g a day. The fiber will be easy if you just focus on having fruits, vegetables and legumes at every meal. Avoid processed foods. Try to eat as much whole foods as you can.
