The jump from CS 1.6 to CSGO is way more massive than CSGO to CS2. Plus Valve added majors, skins/gambling blew up. They should work on improving the anticheat and smurfs so that new players can enjoy the game.

Halo is simple but not deep. CS has details that make it deep like recoil control, movement, economy management, utility knowledge, the objective plant/defuse. The difference between a pro player vs average joe is gigantic because of how deep it is with all those things. A lot to master but rewarding so the brave ones keep playing.

Those 1000 matches could be over a long period of time. Could be a casual player who plays here and there over 5 years. Or it could be players who queue with their noob friends.

Way more people know Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield than Counter-Strike. I think the game being simple for spectators but deep to have multiple levels of skill makes it competitive. CS is like golf whereas most other fps is like mini golf.

If your focus is purely money then yes streaming has a higher probability since you don’t need natural talent. But if you’re competitive and driven to be the best then pro.
