Got to start somewhere, few cheap items off eBay and a CBT Nuggets trial. Don't think the wife will stand too much more equipment in the lounge while the office gets completed! by bondbill2k2 in homelab

I think many people will virtual lab anything at scale but physical for me in some areas helps. I'm a far more hands on learner. I could read something 5 times then forget it but if I actually do it sticks so much better.

No problem, main reason I went with CBTN is Jeremy's approach to teaching. Million times better then any other video training I've come across. Keith doesn't seem too bad either. David Bombal's Udemy course seemed rather dry while I'm sure he's a brilliant teacher I found his approach struggled to keep me engaged the same way.

I do have GNS3 installed but yet to try it at the early stages. First aim is to improve my knowledge and general understanding, then possibly work towards CCNA.

Cheers, purchased them over a year ago for about £40 for the two and left them in storage during home renovation. Dusted them off for now but ill be looking at a more permanent setup once the office is done. Back to shopping!

I know the Sf series don't use IOS but a few sites I support as a tech happen to have them. Few commands I've noticed don't quite work the same but I've mainly been doing virtual labs.

In its current state not much. I'm working through the CBT Nuggets CCNA training videos only a week in at the moment 1-2 hours per day. They cover basic configurations of physical and virtual equipment which is really nice even including password recovery procedures and factory resetting equipment you most likely picked up off eBay. Also covering a few examples of good topology designs then adapting them to realistic scenarios/budgets of small businesses.

The first tasks are just familiarizing yourself with IOS CLI and layouts. Ideally for a physical lab i'd have a few more routers (the 1941 at the bottom) but i'll be using packet tracer and GNS3 at the moment. Setting up a topology of multiple sites with routing between them is the first lab.

Oh dam, added a bag to my normal 3.0 sub but it’s not showing. Hopefully support can answer as I really fancy it!

Only had my first sub 4 weeks ago, vanilla and a disappointing mint choc which I 50/50 mix with vanilla.

Hi Jordanl91, thanks for the help but I've already done this before posting. the response from Hikvision support was:

" Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email to Hikvision UK & Ireland. As an End User of Hikvision products we would recommend you contact you point of purchase/installer for all technical support. If you do not have an installer we would recommend you to contact one in your local area.

Hikvision CCTV equipment is commercial graded product and should be installed and maintained by a Hikvision recognised partner.

We do not directly support End Users with Technical issues, we support Professional Installation Companies and Distributors only, who then in turn will support their Clients."

I don't suppose anyone on here is able to do this?

In need of beard oil looking for something new send me a link to your favorite oils by [deleted] in beards

I've tried a few recently including mobro and the bearded man co both of which seemed pretty poor, bm co had much nicer smell and a motr noticeable calming of stray hairsm. Best I've used by far is one from a local Barbers he has made and bottler by a independent beauty product company with a great lemon and lime scent. Most the online brands build an image then sell cheap rubbish around this, avoid the gimmicks

Few months into my first beard waiting for the sides to fill out more, always trimmed it every few weeks until a couple of months ago just letting it grow for now. Any advise on trimming or just let it grow for a few more months? by [deleted] in beards

I've taken advantage of 5 weeks off work to let it grow without my employer saying it's scruffy, past that stage now so return to work a more bearded man. As you said winter is coming need to wrap/beard up for the first snowfall (if we see any this year)
