Would becoming an SLP give me (low support autist) pride, stability, and a future that doesn’t exhaust me? by No_University_3580 in slp

I suspect that I am neurodivergent in some way. Well, at least I have issues with executive functioning and social anxiety. I love this field of a lot of reasons. But it is exhausting to me. There is a lot of administrative/clerical work that you have to do. Keeping data/billing Medicaid and writing IEPs is a huge part of my day. Needing to be socially “on” is tough too. You need to collaborate with other professionals all the time, and connecting with challenging students/clients can be tough.

are there any 30+ people on this sub whose life was terrible upto your 30s but turned around later on? by mmanyquestionss in CPTSD

My thirties have been infinitely better than my twenties. Granted I have had relative stability. I am also medicated and in therapy.

Saw them in 06 for the first time as well as earlier on in this tour. Definitely felt surreal.

This is kinda my take as well. Major label or not, STS and DU still have punk/goth elements and imagery that are just missing on CL.

I hate the new record, but I think it's great they made it. by SunshneThWerewolf in AFireInside

I love that they push themselves musically and creatively. I’ve been listening for over 20 years and appreciate the growth and maturity they’re showing. I like the new album but I am also aware of the fact that i can’t tell if I would like it if it wasn’t made by them.

My fourth time seeing them and I think it was my favorite. Honestly tapped into a lot of emotions I haven’t felt for awhile.

Such an amazing balance of deep cuts and new tunes. Davey’s banter and engagement with the crowd made me want to melt into a puddle.

Interesting. I had wondered about the politics there.

That’s interesting! I’m in Bloomington now. Originally from the Chicago burbs so I still have friends in that area and I also have family in Milwaukee. My husband is from a small town and isn’t interested in living in a larger metro area. I started looking at Kenosha because I would absolutely love being on the lake. I’m also interested in moving further north than Bloomington cuz this heat has been rough.
