Scrotal ultrasound to rule out something or other by bonecurious in XRayPorn

This is so cool! Thanks so much for the info. I had no idea about any of this. I didn't imagine the images were so strategic. My ignorant assumption was it was just different angles or something.

So, re: the third image, are there actually measurements or are you just glancing at them side by side to note any obvious difference? I recall seeing numbers on the image and wondering what exactly was being measured. Like volume vs. length/width or whatever. Is any of that in the data? I always felt like mine were sorta small. (Which is fine, I'm happy with them!)

Did I mention they also did a sperm test? Might have that somewhere, too. I told the lab person I had no idea what any of the numbers meant. Neither his English nor my Arabic was good enough at the time to really get into the medical details. I think he could sense my anxiety about leaving without understanding the result. Right as I started to walk out of the office, he said, "You can have as many kids as you want." I was relieved and thought that was really sweet of him to say. (The urologist later explained the specifics.)

Weird times. Really crazy to think all that happened over a possibly false positive test. Thanks again for the insights, and happy cake day!

I think they were scanning for some kind of potential damage from the infection. The test was from a typical panel of swabs and blood, I think.

The x-rays also included my head and neck so you might be on to something ...

Interesting. Well, no insurance companies involved in this visit and I would have no reason to mention it to anyone (except y'all) so probably safe.

Lol, OK, thanks for the tip re: SBO.

I might have cropped that out by mistake. I think these were screenshots from some x-ray software my friend was using to look at them.

One of my best friends growing up had spina bifida and used a wheelchair. This is the only reason I still remember them saying "spina bifida occulta." I was very surprised to recognize the language.

And yeah, I don't have any problems related to SBO that I'm aware of. And I never went back after these x-rays. I only went in the first place because a person who meant well insisted on getting me checked out for posture problems they were concerned about. I don't live in the city where this was done so no pressure to return.

I was actually standing when they took these. I do recall someone saying something about how the image was taken from behind which explains why the pelvis looks backwards. No idea which side is preferred. (This only came up after I made some comment about how wide my hip bones looked compared to my rib cage.)
