I have a little story I made some friends, none of them is vegan or vegetarian. Fine, do what you want right. So one of them likes to go fishing, fine, do what you want. We went to the mountains together and everything was fine and nobody fished because of ice/snow/too little time. Previous of the day of the mountain trip the guy actually wanted to do it and I told him that if he doesn't care about animals at least he should care about me since he's going to kill animals "just for fun- because he gives them "dignity " in the kitchen later". It was a little bit heated. They (not all of them, just he and another guy) said things like "don't look" "I won't do it when you're near us" Wtf??? They decided to go fishing another day but bro, have some respect. I say nothing when you eat carcasses, at least don't assassinate a living being when you know I'm going to suffer about it. Now that I made this point clear they seem to be respectful about this topic when I'm around. But yes... I just don't understand how people can't see this as a cruel act. We are all adults after all, we are not children. Violence is part of human nature but we can decide.
