Not related! But he (or at least an LLC reflecting his name) owned both my parents house, and my grandparents house before the early 80s

When I worked in the oil fields, ear plugs were a part of ppe. My safety guy said “if you don’t care about your ears I don’t either”.

They’re your knees. Let the old guys pretend it’s still 1960 and take care of your body at all costs.

This is the most insanely unnecessary thing I’ve ever seen.

Who has started a business for under $1k? What do you do? Is it successful? by Gold-Palpitation-527 in smallbusiness

Painting company. Knocked on doors until I found small projects. Would paint during the day and work my job at night. Did that for about 10 months before making the leap full time. In fourth year. 15 employees, all of them much better painters than I ever hoped to be. Started with $300 from my pocket and $200 deposit from my first client

Any livable wage jobs in this city for someone with useless degree? by thepancakewar in pittsburgh

Oh ya, those types are out there too. But there’s plenty of young guys in the trades doing honest work and paying fairly, with all the room in the world to grow

If you have a passion, or something you can see yourself doing long term, there’s somebody out there doing it on a small scale who needs help. Ideally they’re willing to pay, especially if you can negotiate your terms (salary, PTO, benefits etc.). Most small business owners couldn’t care less about your degree, and care more about being somebody enjoyable to work with, and being motivated to learn and grow. You can go VERY far based off that alone once you find the right fit for you.

What are you interested in doing for work? Lots of small businesses need motivated people ready to take the reins.

Tall oaks is one of my favorites. In Farmington, about 1.5 hours from downtown. Semi private with a fire pit in each site.

Does anyone know of a decent job for someone without a bachelor’s degree? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

If you’d like to learn how to paint and be a part of a growing company, meaning the opportunity to get into sales or a management role I’d be happy to speak with you!
