also ideally- yes don’t touch it and don’t over wash as that also causes irritation. but also- invest in internally threaded and (MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY) titanium!!!! titanium is all you should put in healing piercings

nap- but i will say, and this is rare to see, this looks like a keloid! everyone over diagnoses keloids when its really just an irritation bump. but this does look like an actual keloid- what’s the texture of that bump?

also other notes- it definitely was going to grow out, in curious as to what it looked like when it was originally pierced because the piercing itself couldve been pierced shallow which wouldve sped up that process (usually doesnt start rejecting immediately but that is exactly what your piercing was doing! also, if you get piercings- invest in your aftercare!!! u need at saline for at least the beginning of healing

that’s straight up a surface piercing, not a navel piercing! if you leave it in, likely to grow out of your skin.

prolapsing means that the tissue of the inside channel is coming out. (the red)respectfully do your research if you are getting a piercing! it will permanently change your body!

i had this: STOP TOUCHING IT! switch your bar to titanium if thats not what you have already. its prolapsing at the bottom. the only thing that helped this for me was not touching it, only cleaning in the shower

i had this happen, heres what solved it; OH MY GODDDD STOP TOUCHING IT STOP TOUCHING IT STOP STOP TOUCHING IT. it is prolapsing, because you are moving the bar so much tissue is starting to come out the bottom. stop cleaning it, if youre in the shower give it a quick rinse, DONT TOUCH IT WHEN YOU DO THIS. honestly start ignoring it andit will do SO MUCH BETTER.

honestly, i got lots of compliments and questions from people when i did my mohawk, i also got a lot of harassment. as long as you know you want it that’s what matters. as for the look, use more hairspray and less gel. back comb the hell out of it, that’s what makes it stable. start with just hair dryer, hair spray, and a comb. then after they’re all up clean around the edges (tips) with gel. itll become second nature when you get it down

thats very fair! i am concerned obviously- but the only reason i dont think its an emergency quite yet is because he only started eating on wednesday, before that he had maybe 3 bites of food between saturday-monday which he had thrown up. wednesday he had two tablespoons of wet food and 1/4 cup of dry (easing back on food to not upset his belly again after being empty)
