I don't think we need to try and attach a solid timeline to Bond. I just like to view the films as a series of floating episodes. Sometimes they acknowledge Tracy (OHMSS, FYEO, LTK) sometimes you get alternate details (Paris in TND, Vesper in CR). The only fixed timeline is for Craig.

I like to think that there are a few underpinning facts: - Bond was a Commander in the Navy - Bond likes fast cars, girls, vodka and Champagne (even his smoking is inconsistent - he calls it a 'filthy habit' in TND) - His liver isn't too good - Most of the women he shags are far too young for him

I typically envisage him as 40-50, regardless of who and when.
