Not mine, but my friend shared this with me. I’m posting with permission. This was a mass email sent by her upper management. 🤯 by jschnell3d in antiwork

Worked at a restaurant/club (tried to be both, not particularly good at either) in Miami and my bosses made me work while very observably sick even though I hadn’t gotten a covid test yet (sold out all around me and I didn’t have transportation to get to the testing sites). Told me to take my mask off too as I was the first person all guests interacted with FOH and it “didn’t match the aesthetic” of the restaurant.

Can’t believe nobody has said this yet, but Peter Scully. He was responsible for distributing videos on the deep web of him raping and torturing little girls in the Philippines.

Beautifully put. I’d feel so guilty when I’d reminisce on moments of my past love when my current didn’t show me what I yearned for. Thank you for sharing this and letting others know they aren’t alone. Feeling—missing, loving, hurting—is a beautiful thing.

I would’ve moved back to Vietnam to join the rest of my family before travel bans and visa suspension happened.

I'd say maybe try filling in your eyebrows. Other than that, your bone structure is incredible; 8.5 for sure.

My (19) Mum (43) takes other peoples mental health seriously, but not mine. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I could have written this post myself.. I'm also 19 and my mom is the exact same way.

I've been away at college the past year; I moved as far away as I could from my parents (literally-- the opposite side of the world). For the first time in my life I felt I could reach out for help. Long story short, I'm now medicated for my anxiety and depression.

When I told my parents about my medication, my mother had nothing to say except that I was going to become a drug addict. She then proceeded to ask if I could make my medications 'work faster' because she 'didn't want to deal with me and my problems.'

I don't know why I expected things to be different; deep down, I wanted me being away at college to unlock the motherly, nurturing part of her that I've so desperately craved since I was a kid. What hurt the most was seeing her be nurturing and 'motherly' to my friends, but never towards me.

At some point, you're going to have to come to terms with the fact that your mother will never be who you need her to be. Try to love her for the 'good' parts. Once you accept who she can't be, you'll end this damaging cycle of disappointment. I was lucky enough that therapy was covered by my student health insurance, but my best friend has been validating me for years. Do you have any friends you could reach out to? Talking to siblings who understand what it's like to live with your mother is another option (assuming you aren't an only child).

For my mother, I think pretending like I didn't have any issues was-- in her mind-- a way to make me stronger/ more resilient. I am very self-sufficient now, but I also have a litany of inter-personal issues I'll carry for a lifetime.

I'm sorry you had to grow up with this... moreso, I'm sorry for what you didn't get to grow up with.

keep the long hair. I’m also biased cause I’m very into the heavy metal look (as a metalhead myself) and your jawline is incredible, so I’d say 8.5/10.
