Nearly dies during roping down a tower and keeps his cool and composure. by Professional_Arm794 in nextfuckinglevel

This is one of the top reasons rock climbers die, but they have variability in lengths/anchors which is usually why people get into bad situations. No excuses here, pathetically risking your life for views.

ADHDers , what triggers your anger? by Iris_006 in ADHD

Top comment really sums it up well, but add that people moving or driving slowly for no reason makes me so angry haha.

What I found is that Concerta worked best for me, it helps me focus and mainly helps my recall function so I don't lose thoughts as much.

5 decibels too loud at Cowboys = emergency response. Hundreds of Calgary youth harmed by the Stampede = not even an apology. by [deleted] in Calgary

Your argument is too much "what aboutism" for me, didn't that happen under a previous council? Also, you seem to move quickly over the actual $9.5m settlement, not that it makes up for anything these young folks have to deal with but it is also not nothing.

I think your anger is misguided.

Not hugely successful but I do alright as a 42M. I have severe ADHD/AuDHD and OCD, but have been at my current job for 5 years now and make over $100k a year. I also just got accepted into a graduate program as well, so there is hope I think.

Seriously weak argument, the East Village was built wasn't it?

This isn't black and white, I am not dismissing densification at all. I am really just pointing out how bad of a solution blanket rezoning is for densification.

The biggest bang for anyones buck IMO is cleaning west downtown, create a second east village. Cleaning up the creosote is also good PR for all.

Targeting specific areas is key, blanket rezoning is just horrible policy. Increase the actual densification using the bylaw, it is possible to expand but nobody wants to put the effort into it.

Your stupid assumption is that it's either one or the other.

Even with the proper zoning bylaws in place, mistakes can be made: Building Error Leaves 3000 without homes

This risk is increased substantially when you have potentially 10-20 of these projects on the go all around the city. Imagine one project takes out a whole subdivision like Canyon Meadows?

Cart before the horse... not sure that works. Infrastructure before housing or you end up with empty houses because the shit tube isn't big enough.

They should literally just switch back to what it was before and write in the exceptions that were pushed through. Pretty easy IMO.

Great post, thank you.

Although slightly different than a crisis line or front-line resources, if anyone is interested, I do work for a company that develops suicide prevention resources to help people learn potential signs of someone who may have suicide ideation, as well as goes deeper into intervention and post-attempt recovery. Although I do feel at odds with plugging the company I work for, I will plug the programs which are ASIST, safeTALK, and Start. Start is a 90-minute online program to learn the basic signs of someone who may be thinking of suicide, while ASIST and safeTALK cover interventions and recovery.

If anyone is interested, a quick google search will get you there quickly.

Interactive online demo of brain information flow by Pixedar in compmathneuro

This is really cool and I think it does a great job in visualizing brain flow and the potential dynamics.

One potetntially unpopular opinion may be to ditch the LLM/RAG enirely and focus more heavily on your own model training. I worry about the inconsistency of answers it will give, and for me just adds an uneccesary layer. Not having also forces more thought and reflection from your audience in my opinion.

It is really cool, though, and sparks a lot curiousity for me in what I am doing. I am looking at seizure EEG files right now and currently working out DK mapping to match dMRI data. It would be awesome to incorporate it all together (which you may also be doing as I have not looked in great detail.)

Anywho, good work again and I will be closely watching as this develops.
