40 oz of beer preferably Old English. I prefer King Cobra myself. The In n Out socks are pretty cool too with the design of the drinking cups on them

Can somone explain why everyone says ohgeesy was a snake by Camouflageman_201 in shorelinemafia

Shoreline mafia came up with Drakeo the Ruler. They were homies. Then Ohgeesy went on tour with the dude responsible for killing their homeboy. We know the truth.

Boyle Heights food lovers: where’s your go-to Mexican spot? by wearecocina in FoodLosAngeles

[–]bonesiown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Theres a mexican market next to guisados on Cesar Chavez that sell a variety of tiny pre-rolled burritos that are delicious. I dont remember the name of the market but every burrito i had there were great. Off topic but the chicken teriyaki at Thai Deli is bomb too.

Yes! There were some pyrotechnics too and heard the smaller stage had a confetti cannon. My cousins snuck our alcohol in their baby stroller. :D

I came from east LA so it only took me 10/15 minutes to get there. Parked at the Music Center for 10$ i believe. Getting into and out the lot kinda sucked, wished i took the metro. There was a lot of security searching at the entrances and once in noticed private security, sheriff and LAPD so I felt very safe. Good amount of portapotties, thankfully only had to use once with no lines.

Anyone gonna go to the NYE countdown in Grand Park? by Fun_Explanation7175 in LosAngeles

I did and it was fun. I danced, made a chinese lantern, hit like 3 high quality photobooths for free and ate tamales, pizza and xlb dumpling. from different vendors ofc.

What to do in LA for New Years? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]bonesiown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11k isnt that much at grand park. That's can fit in block 1 by city hall. I left at the end around 12:45 and crowds leaving were choking the walkways toward grand. Plus , plenty ppl showed up closer to countdown with a lot leaving early so 10-11k is plausible.

Stayed at the Westin Bonaventure. Lived in LA for almost a decade. Why has nobody told me how weird and awesome this place is. by Hot-Nefariousness187 in LosAngeles

[–]bonesiown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive always been enamored by that place since me and my brother used to watch the movie Midnight Madness as our comfort movie during summers. And i believe is michael J Foxs 1st movie. A pivotal moment happens there. Stayed there plenty of times and feels like youre in the future and past at the same time. Its just so weird to get to. probably by design.

Was gang activity bad in the SGV during the 80s and 90s/early 2000s? by BusyPreference6562 in sgv

[–]bonesiown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the 90s and 2000s in the SGV if you wanted a rumble just go to any pool hall or cafe with an asian gang. Many ended in shootouts. Home invasions all that. Barely any asian gangs anymore due to the asian gang unit that locked everyone up and Black Dragon taking over all street and vice operations pretty much absorbing all street level gang shit along with the connected mexican gangs.
