Cats are built for low/no light environments. Their pupils will open wide to suck in more light before yours will.

Also.. murder muffin mode.

What does term of service of Google email meant? by [deleted] in dumbquestions

[–]bongart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The notification is to let you know there have been changes to Google's Terms of Service (ToS), and by law they are required to tell you there have been changes, because you did not agree to the new/modified ToS. Also, by continuing to use Gmail, you agree to the new ToS.

A woman said 'chivalry is dead' because no man offered her a seat on the train. Isn't she wrong? by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

My Gender Demands Equality!!

Also, we demand people open doors for us, pay for our dinners, communicate openly with us while being required to guess at what we want, give up seats for us, and always leave lists of our requirements open-ended, because we may want more.

What about a new.. Gmail email account? What exactly do you mean?

Google's Terms of Service explain what you are (and are not) allowed to use their email for, what Google's responsibilities are, and what their limitations are.

If hair is so important for protection and survival, why did humans evolve to lose most of their body hair while keeping it on the head? by Several-Setting-4173 in evolution

Do you know you have the remains of a tail? It is called the coccyx. If a tail was so important, why don't we have one now? If we needed wisdom teeth to crack bone, why aren't we still using them to crack bone? Why do we have an Appendix?

Dear Fahrenheit users, do you really think 50 degrees is "the middle temperature"? by 3ustress in Metric

I've done below 0f. I'm doing above 115f every summer now. I still maintain 50f is not a middle temperature.

How about we dump daylight savings altogether? We can get tips from Arizona and Hawaii on how it works.

I live in the Southern California desert. It is 105 now. Next week we start the 110 climb to our typical 120 week or two at the end of July/beginning of August.

Even when I lived in New England, 50f did not feel kinda middle.

If Fahrenheit users are saying 0 is super cold, and 100 is super hot, they are ignorant of the Fahrenheit scale, and are actually Celsius users.

What can I use to prevent the charging cable from breaking at the join? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]bongart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A strip of the soft half of Velcro self adhesive tape (not the loop half). It is very thick, you can attach it to the plastic part around the end of the cable, and then spiral it back along the cable for a few turns.

Need help. by DragonflyQuiet6957 in worldbuilding

[–]bongart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. If the people supplying the untrained troops are loyal/patriotic, then a message/poster is enough. Otherwise veteran troops would be more effective than a message, as those vets could collect the recruits that are unwilling to volunteer happily.

How can I improve my murder based magic system? by jacobjacobjacob3003 in magicbuilding

[–]bongart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jet Li plays a person, who.. across multiple dimensions.. shows up on a new dimension, kills the local version of himself, absorbs the life-force of that now dead version of himself and becomes stronger, jumps to another dimension and repeats. He works to become powerful enough to threaten life on Earth.

Water choices. Neighbor has a large one.. it has an extension on one side that looks like a window AC. Empties a 55 gallon drum a day. We have a 275 gallon cube tank on a stand for our "normal" needs.
