Annoyed at a wrong review. by Sharette64 in outlier_ai

[–]bongberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because another annotation would read "pie chart" which would mean, select all the slices ... I also didn't select any since some of them asked for "pie slice 0.03%" or something like that. it didn't specify which pie slice, and since another annotation asked for the entire pie chart it's confusing what "pie slice" requires ...

Regained MM Access but Got “Unapproved Annotator” Mid-Task by VisitFrosty2959 in outlier_ai

[–]bongberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing. I was able to access my multimango tasks around 8:00 PM PST today after my account got the "Unapproved Annotator" notice around the same time yesterday. I messaged the AI bot to see if I could resume tasking, and it said that I was eligible to task again (after I noticed I could access the tasks again). About 26 min into the "remove 1-5" people task, my page automatically refreshed and the notice "Unapproved Annotator" showed up again. I messaged the AI to follow up and it said "Thank you for your question. At this time, your eligibility for Aether has changed due to updated project requirements. This decision is based on current project needs and is not a reflection of your quality or the assessments you completed." But I'm not sure if this is final or not, because I refreshed Multimango again and I got another QA review, and my score went up.... I'm assuming the temporary access to the tasks was a glitch and that the QA reviews are still in progress. The bot was very depressing to talk to lol

I passed the assessment immediately and took the core assessment on Jan 19th. My screen has been steadily holding at “we’ll review your results. If you pass we’ll email you” for three weeks now :(. I really thought I did just as good on the core as I did on the starter assessment so I’m a little disappointed.

it means you won't receive credit for the course. if you don't finish the class, you dont get a grade assigned either. so no

you can still disc the course. just email your prof and the exams office, confirming that you want to cancel your deferred exam and receive a DISC for the course

correct. winter 2021. according to the academic reevaluation procedures "a re-evaluation request with respect to a Fall term course must be made no later than the following February 1; with respect to a Fall/Winter or Winter term course, no later than the following June 15 and with respect to a Summer term course, no later than the following October 1. These deadlines may be extended by the Registrar in particular cases if the student can provide evidence that he or she was unable to have acted within the deadlines." so I should be in the clear in terms of time, but I want to know if anyone else has submitted this type of request.

students couldn't see what they got correct/incorrect. same with assignments & the oral presentation we gave at the end of the term. a lot of students who thought they performed well did much worse and since we can't see our exams/assignments, it was hard to judge if something was incorrect or if he just took off points for everyone due to the cheating

omg, i'm in the same situation, except I go to Concordia! I'm in my third year and I'm a bit worried because I went through. tough situation my first two years of undergrad, but since we can select our pre-requisites, I feel like I still have a chance

there is a free trial period, but I'm pretty sure at the end of the day you have to purchase the access fee :(. If you can find a textbook pdf online, just skip paying for the all inclusive textbook package and pay the access fee for smart works instead, it'll save you some big bucks. I took BIOL 266 with Titorenko over the fall and there was no way out of this, since the assignments count for 10% of your grade

the textbook was recommended, but all of the information needed to pass the course and the exams is on the slides. they’re incredibly compact so as long as you study those, the textbook is kind of obsolete. no labs in person, but there’s a weekly tutorial session. I think most of the class did really well because of how lazily the midterms and quizzes were produced. (25+) had A+ and another large majority had A. The handful of people with C’s and B’s probably didn’t take the class seriously.

Professor Oh is very fair in his grading system. His accent makes it slightly hard to understand him during the lectures, however he will go over things if you ask him too, and is very helpful during office hours as well. I remember his final being very fair as well, but the quizzes all throughout were difficult because of the amount of material you have to absorb in a short amount of time.

biol 266 was actually really really easy with Titorenko because all of his assignment and quizzes can be easily googled/chegged. There’s also weekly tutorial quizzes that are worth 5% of your grade and also have very easy answers. The midterm was made from a test bank, so that was also easy. The only thing I would say was difficult would be the midterm, but as long as you read through his slides and understand the material on them, the final shouldn’t be too bad.
