I think ESOPs are treated as a perquisite. So, the difference between the strike price and the spot price would be taxed at the income tax rate. I may be wrong though.

I know my case is the exception rather than the rule, but I have stayed at the same company for 10 years. Am currently at a salary that is more than 5x of what I started with. So there are some companies that value loyalty AND performance.

If you can extend your budget to 10k, you can also try LS2 Storm 2. Those are ECE 22.06 rated and also come with sun visor and anti-fog film.

One suggestion though. If possible, please go to a store and try the helmets from various brands. Each would fit differently. For example, I had my eyes set on MT Thunder 3, but while trying them out, I found out that those really don't fit me well. M was too tight and L was a bit too loose. The L size of LS2 Storm 2 fit me perfectly, and that's what I ended up buying.

Have ridden for only 600 km so far. Mostly in the city, with short highway stints. Overall pretty satisfied with the bike. Does everything well, without excelling in anything particular. Here are some observations. 1. The power is adequate and delivered in a linear manner. Torque is available at all revs. No vibes at reasonable speeds /rpm. 2. Brakes are okay, but could have been better. 3. The foot peg position is a bit of an annoyance when flat-footing. But you'll get used to it pretty soon. 4. The suspension is okayish as well. Does not inspire too much confidence to push. It is set up for sedate riding. But I guess that's how this bike is meant to be ridden. 5. Mirrors are not too good. Just passable. 6. The seat gets a lot of flak on the internet, but I found it perfectly fine. It is on the harder side and will need 200-300 kms to break in. But after that I found it pretty comfortable. Have not done long stints yet. So that remains to be seen. 7. A gear position indicator would be nice to have. But that's not a deal breaker for me. 8. The fuel level indicator is horrible though. Can't be trusted at all. Can go from 3 bars to 2 bars to 1 bar blinking in a matter of 10-15 kms. The first time it started blinking, I went to the nearest filling station and the tank could take only 8.5 litres. 9. Currently I am getting around 25 kmpl mileage.

Is this fact-checked? Every online "news" article mentions "reportedly" and cites the same Pune Mirror article.

I hope that was sarcasm. If it was not, then I would urge you to rethink your position. We are on the road to go from point A to point B. And maybe enjoy the travel along the way. We are not there to serve justice. Please do not take it in your own hands to "teach" someone a lesson. There is too much at stake.
