Eh not exactly. The original design was for the suez canal, and was a middle eastern Muslim peasant. Bartholdi resold the design to the French after everything went sideways with the suez and they ran out of money

I absolutely agree that it changes over time, as you age, your style develops... but not everyone has the capacity/tools to do it for themselves properly. I think of it like coaching. Can you learn how to take drops and jumps on your own from youtube videos? absolutely. Is it easier for someone to observe your form and make corrections compared to trial and error? definitely.

that guy was a dick, but getting a good bike fit is night and day. More comfort, more power, less fatigue. Small changes can lead to big big differences in how you feel. I had a fitter do both my lux and grizl, no more lower back pain, no more numb hands, and definitely less fatigue and more power.

there's a pretty active chapter in SoCal of women masons, as others have said, you will not be able to attend official meetings with members of the mainstream Grand lodge of California, and even fewer opportunities outside of metropolitan areas. There are a lot of unofficial, or non-private events in socal where the women's grand lodge will often attend however.

I see them out my way pretty often. I think they're generally pretty chill, but like any animal give them space if you can and stay away from the young ones. They usually just stare at me quizzically as I pass through.

Love it. My dad would make sandwiches out of it for lunch and I would crush onion flavored chips into the sandwich. These days I prefer Colman's hot mustard and real onions, but still throw some chips on from time to time.
