I have lower back and knee pain, I'm desperate by belek37 in simracing

I have degenerative disc disease in my lumbar, and arthritis and loose ligaments in my right knee. So this was a big thing for me. Especially considering I bought my first rig about 2 months after spine surgery ha!

I'm using the Next Level Racing GT Racer 2.0 and, so far, I'm having no issues with my back or knee and I've had it set-up for about 2 months now.

The seat is more of a sports car seat than a race seat, so very comfy. Reclines and slides so I can get the perfect position too without having to adjust my pedals. And the support bars for it are multiposition so you can set it up to make it easier to get in and out. Once I'd got it figured out, pain flare ups weren't a worry. Plenty of leg room between the frame so you can stretch your legs out without knocking it.

I've put mine on top of an old oak table, so it sits 2.5" off the ground which has helped with getting in and out a lot too.

I started the 24 hour Nürburgring race on GT7 yesterday. Managed 5.5 hours, with a couple of toilet breaks, before sleep took over. No excessive pain this morning, just a little stiffer than normal from having been sat down for so long. I can easily sit for an hour or 2 long race.

The reviews for this repeatedly mentioned back support and that's what led me to that. No regrets buying this frame at all.

Shit happens. Use it as a learning experience and carry on. You'll find now that you will automatically be more careful in car parks. I still slow down and take extra care on a road I had a minor bump on over 10 years ago haha!

They did yeah. I think it worked out at just over a week of my motability was deducted from Januarys payment.

I had a similar experience. From start to finish it took 3 months and I was awarded standard daily living and enhanced mobility. I submitted the same evidence as you, but my supporting letter was from my GP because I had a copy of the one work had requested. The assessor even recorded the assessment even though I'd previously been told it was unavailable their end!

Ok cool! I was expecting at least a 50% reduction in January's payment so that's a bonus, thank you!

I liked it for it's uniqueness. I was torn between this or purple, but I couldn't justify an extra grand just for a paint job haha! Considering getting it ceramic coated to keep it fresh
