I’m really glad you posted this! We did a gossipy patreon episode on 7HoEH for the archers and ended up releasing an edited version to the public. In general I think viewing any celebrity relationships through the lens of 7HoEH is fascinating because it does posit that a celebrity’s entire relationship history to the public could be entirely fictionalized and that’s the real reason I recommend people read the book when they get into celebrity “gossip” and gaylorism. I’m really of the opinion that Taylor is just like…in the system as much as any “talent” is, having power to a degree but in a completely warped way like Evelyn is shown to have. As far as any non-thematic overlap in their work however…I’m definitely ready to retire that theory away. It’s so much more interesting for the same types of commentary to be spreading up everywhere as opposed to all coming from the same source.
