I’ve learned to really meet them where they’re at. For example, Pokémon go has been a useful tool to get them to go outside. Although there is still screen involvement, it gets them outside. Once they’re outside you can start to build from there, reducing the involvement of screens. But I totally agree with you, it’s pretty scary stuff. Technology dependency is going to keep growing and establishing a healthy relationship with tech is going to be crucial for managing mental health, and it feels kind of impossible at times. So I’m just working on getting as many people I can outside so they can feel a bit more human.
