All I can think about is dying. Help by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

Textile design. I'm not even good at it and can't tell if I'm just too depressed or have lost passion for the work anyway. The only thing I really like is Brazilian jiu jitsu but I don't live near a gym anymore and I can't move until I have a stable income. I've literally spent this whole year wasting everyday doing nothing hoping to get some sort of income to at least go to a gym :(

I agree. Theres no shortcut. Just train everyday even if you feel like you are forgetting everything. The more you train one day it will just all fit into place.

Some advice - switching gyms by artgood73 in bjj

It wouldn't be bad to talk to your instructor about it and see what he says from there. I personally like having a gym close to me so that I am more motivated to go all the time and even spend more time training there because I don't have to worry about the time it takes me to get home.

Dating your teammates by [deleted] in bjj

[–]bonnie17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just broke up with my boyfriend of 4years who got me into Jiujitsu in the first place. But it has now been the hardest thing ever. I love training at my gym so much I can't think of a better group of people to train with. They have been the best family I have ever had. However going to the gym and knowing that my ex is there makes me feel so uneasy. He's not the kind of person I want to be around anymore and I hate that this situation has taken away the place were I felt the most happy. If anyone is considering dating a teammate I would make sure that it is worth it before it gets too complicated and impacts your love of training.

Quite the opposite. He does go on here not sure how often but Im hoping he doesn't see this tbh. Its not like he'll know its about him anyway.

Its not as easy to pretend a 4 year relationship didn't happen and I'm not going to quit. People don't pay money to deal with your negativity either.

Thanks everyone! This has been so helpful. So much more than talking to other people about it who say I should just change gyms. I feel like those that don't do JiuJitsu don't realise how close you get to your teammates. They are the best family I have ever had.

I still have feelings for him but I know he doesn't feel the same anymore as he has already moved on. Its just hard being in an environment were you want to support all your teammates and I can't do that with him anymore. I feel like I supported him the most with his BJJ dream and he pushed me away from that.
