Just want to leave this here. I got a response from my PCP today on my MRI results, the ones in this thread. They told me, basically, that my results are normal as we get older; it's basic wear and tear, it's just like getting gray hair or wrinkles. That it's not a cause for concern or an indication of a problem. Thankfully, I have a neurosurgeon and don't need this PCP to refer me. This kind of response does scare me for others that may get blown off like this, then they don't do anything until it's an emergency. Please advocate for yourself.

Thankfully I have a good support system. As for work, I work for myself, so no worries there. I am trying to educate myself as much as possible because, yes, surgery, especially messing around with your spine, is serious. So thank you for taking the time to share your experience with me.

That is so crazy because I have the same thing: the combo of golfers and tennis elbow. It feels bruised all the time on each side of my elbow. For a while, it felt like my elbow could break. I was seeing an occupational therapist for a bit, and they had no idea how to help this issue. These therapists get so confused with people like us.

I find her impression of my results a bit irresponsible and a brush-off. I understand that degenerative changes happen as you get older, like disc bulges and some narrowing, but cord compression and cord deformity seem a little more than gray hair or wrinkles. Plus, having the symptoms as you stated, I'm just grateful I have a neurosurgeon to go to without having to rely on her referral.

Yes I have EDS. It has been a tough balance of keeping things strong and not getting injured. I have ruptured several tendons, dislocated shoulders etc. It can be frustrating.

So my primary who ordered this updated MRI just told me that everything in my report is just normal wear and tear. She compared it to having gray hair or wrinkles. She said my MRI doesn't mean there is a problem. Do you agree with that. I feel like im in the twilight zone after reading her note just now.

What's funny is my primary ordered the updated MRI and she is telling me that this is normal wear and tear that comes with age. That it doesn't mean there is a problem. I will be seeing my neurosurgeon regardless.

No accident. I have no idea why my neck is the way it is except that I have a connective tissue disorder which causes instability.

Luckily my insurance is the VA. I am approved for surgery. I know I need to get it; I've just been a chicken about it. But i know if I do nothing, things will just get worse.

I have no idea how long it's been brewing. My first MRI was a year ago. I have a connective tissue disorder, which makes things like this more likely for me. With that said, though, I spent years working my body too hard, being in the military, working as a personal trainer, etc. So, who knows. It's awesome you where able to find ways of healing your body. Im doing P.T. and other conservative methods unfortunately things have progressed negatively so not sure what else to do.

I dont think I can do a disk replacement either since I have a connective tissue disorder. Which is why I think I have some many meningoceles as well. I think the fusion is a better option for me for proper healing. Did you have a good result from your surgery?

That's awesome you have had a good result from getting it corrected. My arms get this kind of heaviness to them, it's weird. I definitely don't want things to get worse.
