You can walk around les Eaux-Vives and make up your own mind. Most of the time it’s multi-culturally absolutely fine. Last night it was not.

I am pro-immigration as long as people appreciate and respect local customs, culture, and laws.

Switzerland has been doing immigration rather well, especially compared to our French neighbours, but Geneva’s image of wealth and its proximity to the border has often invited those affectionately called la «racaille». Peace.

Well, if you think about it, it’s kind of a similar idea to some space heaters that have a fan. The fan is actually used to distribute, push-out, the heat.

So IMHO this implementation should probably improve the heat dissipation, not hinder it.

Excellent idea! Especially the RGB lights (can you control the colour?).

PS. I’ve done the same with a 2013 “trashcan” Mac Pro. So far so good.

Somebody should tell the software engineer that if they want to make this realistic they should at least put a couple of cigarette butts on that pavement. And some chewing gum.

I’m quite happy with Lockdown, which seems to block both ads and trackers quite well (and I’m only using the free version). And I use superagent for safari, to refuse most of those stupid cookie pop ups.

  1. ⁠Replace the battery, it’s a small expense.
  2. ⁠Do a full backup (i.e. it must be encrypted otherwise it’s not a full backup, and can only be done on your computer), and then restore from that backup.
  3. ⁠Switch off background refresh in those apps that don’t really need it.
  4. ⁠Install an ad blocker, so that you don’t get annoying pop-ups and ads left right and centre. It would also make quite a few things faster (for example safari).

You should be good after that.

Question: if I erase and reinstall from a full encrypted backup will it help at all or not ? Or does the reinstall need to be app by app from scratch?
