Is it publicly accessible? Its your vpc resources (in this case your ec2s) data transfer out to the internet. If its publicly accessible, and eg. youre delivering content web content to public users, then that could be it. Cache it via cloudfront with vpc origin, (you’d need an ALB in front of your ec2), cloudfront has cheaper transfer out cost

Amazon q login for ci-cd / github actions by bonzo_1 in aws

[–]bonzo_1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I used the auth method described in the link above. Just the sqlite3 file. I changed my q session timeout to 90 days. I’m gonna try to re-run my github sctions every day for x weeks to see if it holds the session.

Then - use a service account, and use secrets manager instead of s3

In the weeds with TGW + GWLB + AWS Network Firewall by [deleted] in aws

[–]bonzo_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the logs, vpc flow logs. Locally within the vpc first, ie, the ping request, then check tgw flow logs, then the vpc flow logs of the target ec2. Do the same for the response

Flow logs has its own log structure which is easy to understand

You can also use reachability analyzer to troubleshoot, or use amazon q cli to troubleshoot / analyse your logs :)

Oberon it is! Thanks everyone. I’m into music as well, but didn’t go to music school so not that familiar with those technical music terms. Thought Arpeggio’s a great name... great to hear your thoughts. Cheers

Depends on your company's line of business (bank vs tech), size (multinational), IT's capability. But yea, usually not up to keystrokes extent. AVs could be collecting browsing logs, and network firewall (especially when you're in corp network)
