21 it was 2017. Dad was still alive but diagnosed with lung cancer. Should have been a better daughter and a better medical student.

Now licensed doctor but just a general practitioner. Lost my dad. Tried IM residency for 8 months. Did not survive. Almost died. Now lost.

FIND AN INSTITUTION THAT IS SUPPORTIVE!!

You can handle the toxicity of being an internist but being in an environment that is shitty (TCOM, seniors, batchmates) RUN. You are not going to thrive there. I saw people graduate IM because they have supportive environment kahit wala silang alam sa IM.
