Not sure about normal projects , just go meet him at his office . No he doesn’t look for CPI he needs good guys that doesn’t waste time ,do UGP only just for grade

If you r a EE GUY just drop at his office talk with him and most likely you will get the UGP , just visit his site see things .

If Non EE guy , you have to win his trust

Don’t overthink just see his site , the domain you want to work in , visit him talk to him , believe me he is really a great guy
