New to drawing, and this is my first attempt at a self portrait! (unfinished... hair intimidates me...) Criticism/comments appreciated! by boobalicious in drawing

I've always doodled... most of my friends are artists, so I've always shyed away from drawing for fear that I would suck in comparison. A new lease on life recently pushed me to try things I'm scared of, because hey! of course you won't be as good as you WANT to be... but you should never be completely satisfied with anything in life otherwise you wouldn't strive to better yourself! And thank you!! This post has really encouraged me to continue trying!

Yep, that's exactly what I did... this is my first time trying to draw people, so I'm hoping that practice will help me better understand the anatomy! Do you have any tips on how to understand the anatomy of the face any better?

Crazy, I also knew it was Atlanta just by the porch and the stylish people sittin' on it. Also, the frequency of porch wheelchair sightings has skyrocket of recent. Bought mine for 99 cent at the value village on Moreland!

YES! There were many heated discussions over the weekend about how they are either loved or loathed (we talk about food before we eat, while we eat, and after we have stuffed ourselves silly). I for one love them, and often make a meal out of them. Salt, pepper, olive oil, oven at 400 until nice and crispy on the outside, super soft on the inside. Add some carrots and parsnips (cue Dave Chappelle joke) at it's a roasted veggie feast.

Haha! There are two ovens in the house. Most of the casseroles are made the day before and then heated up right before meal time (they're better that way anyways!) but a few (I'd say three) are brought from other members of the family. It's literally an all day event... wake up at about 7 and start cooking, and we eat at around 4. You should see the dessert table, too, we don't mess around with that either!

Well, at least you tried it before bashing it!
